Warzone is a lot of fun and needs to stay. I think of all of Halo 5’s additions this is the best one. Here is why.
- It’s anything you want it to be. You want team slayer? It’s there. You want to go after enemy AI like a campaign or firefight? It’s there. You want to capture bases? It’s there. It’s all of these and more.
- It’s epic. 24 Spartans on field, vehicles, and enemy AI. It’s crazy in a great way.
- It has every weapon and vehicle in every match obtainable. There aren’t any tied to a specific map. Any weapon is possible.
- You don’t have to share power weapon and vehicle spawns, because you get to spawn with your vehicle or weapon of choice.
- Strategy and variation. I think most would agree that taking out enemy bosses in Warzone is key to winning. Normally I do go for Warzone bosses, but if my team is already doing that and maybe even taking them down before I get there then I leave the bosses alone. Instead I’ll focus on taking down the other team’s Spartans that are trying to get the boss kill. That is depth. Then there is also the decision making of defending a base or pushing for a base. Also there is the important decision of when to call out power weapons and vehicles.
- The presence of unique items. Long shot BR, Clasic BR, etc.
- It’s casual and just fun.
