So at launch we could “buy” an HCS skin for our spartans for 0 credits, which was a kind of gift for the HCS Launch of this game. That skin was, to me, like the free version of any of the HCS Team skins/armor kits. If you didn’t wanted to buy any of those, at least you got a free one. Afterwards, we could recieve that same skin for the AR, BR and Sidekick Pistol from Twitch drops, which was nice, since this game appears to have a bunch of items, even when they ain’t available to use by the player (a gripe for another conversation).
Starting with season 2, this HCS Team skins are gone, replaced by the same skins, but for the AR, the Warthog, and by a Weapon Charm. And I ask myself: Why the HCS Launch skin didn’t recieve the same treatment? Why can’t we get that skin, but for our Warthog, and a Weapon Charm related to that? Why didn’t they take this moment to “upgrade that reward” and make it available for the 2 new armor cores? It seems to me like a missed opportunity.
I understand cross core coatings might aliviate that in the future, but why not do the rest? I don’t care if they add the AR skin to that pack too, but man, with the tiny amount of meaningful customization we have at the moment, I’d take anything and be happy with it. Even if I’m never gonna use it, there a collector in me that needs to be satisfied.
