Lol i never understood why were a lot of master chiefs’ in the game’s prologue (halo 4)
They’re all of the original Spartan-II’s in the first days of the Human-Covenant war. They all were issued the exact same armor, before most of them were killed/went missing prior to the events of Halo 1. Why they’re wearing Mark VI armor as opposed to the Mark V armor they canonically had is probably just a 343 style thing.

Not only that but they are wearing Chiefs knock of custom one that cortana made for him when he was in cryo. Those other Spartans at that time should have Mark 4 or 5, and no other Spartan should have Chiefs current armor at all.
Umm, ya 343 got lazy I think and copied and paste the same Spartan armor. They are Spartan IIs.
Cause Chief is playing a Online Co-op campaign
