Why there will never be any Armor DLC! (quote from Evil Otto)

> Not in a simple patch or update. Each map file in the game has all the content embedded in it. If we were to create new armor, it would either only be available in any new maps that get made after that point, or we would have to send out new map files of all the multiplayer and singleplayer maps and require about 9 GB of HD storage. This is economically not feasible.

Problem is, if they add new armors in DLC maps, we won’t be able to select them, because they would have to be added to the mainmenu/user interface in order to actually use them and select them, adding options is not possible in a patch, they would have to replace it.

I only agree with this.

Because this means, the whole game has to be replaced with a new game.

  1. Mainmenu/user interface
  2. Campaign maps
  3. Multiplayer maps
  4. Cache/shared maps
  5. Executable

My thread on Impossible DLC

Not that big of a deal, if people want to whine about not having enough armor perhaps they should play more and keep unlocking it. Besides, we don’t know what else may lie on the disc.

New campaign maps are feasible, just modify the UI a bit to include them, and bam. Or is that a list of the replaceable stuff needed for new armor?

Yes, it’s basically the whole game which needs replacing for new armor.

Also, the reason why they can’t add Campaign/Firefight DLC is here.
