Seriously!? Who came up with that? It is a competitive ranked mode and its 4v4 so it should be on arena maps. All that happens with btb maps is a bunch of people camping a certain spot of the map the entire game or you getting shot from god knows where because the maps are way to big. The arena maps rely on gun skill, accuracy and positioning. Btb maps rely on camping and first see first kill.
It sucks.
I actually don’t mind thy addiction of the odd BTB map in Team Snipers. Everyone I’ve played with have said the same thing honesty. It’s worth trying at the very least.
I, personally, prefer Snipers on BTB maps. Snipers are, you know, long-ranged weapons. It makes sense to use them on big maps, at long range.

4v4 competitive shouldn’t be people camping in a corner of a large map
Because it’s SNIPERS. A sniper rifle is supposed to be used for long range. trying to snipe on small maps is lame.

Instead it should be some guy spartan charging you and shooting once, or some guy waiting in a corner and double melee you.

I completely agree. I’m sick to death of snipers being about who can snapshot the best, might aswell just have bloody shotguns. BTB maps are 100 times better for snipers than Arena maps. I always thought playing that mode on small maps was completely daft.
Not sure how BTB Snipers plays on Halo 5, but I can say I really liked playing that variant in Halo 4, especially in the round maps like Vortex and Exile.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but maybe if they just implemented 8v8? Perhaps that would fill out the btb maps a little more.
BTB snipers is fine. It’s snipers, not team melee. The problem exists in arena maps too: people who camp just to assassinate you and first to see first to get two melees.

I guess not, but I’m more of a social player rather than a 4v4 competitive type of guy. I’m sure many players who play snipers feel the same way. Does the playlist have a mix of BTB and arena maps?
OP u do realise that in halo 1 and such snipers was played in maps like blood gulch and boarding action?? like really big maps which allow the sniper to be used as it is?
what test of skill are u looking for here? imo snipers do not belong in any arena map, but u still have some regular arena maps in this new permanent playlist unlike the all btb version we had with the rotating social sniper playlist.

I doesn’t matter whether it is lame or not put it in social if it is going to be that way.
a lot of people are saying that arena maps are too much snapshotting and camping corners but snapshotting takes more skill than actually shooting across the map and camping corners doesn’t really matter if you play snipers correctly. It is in a ranked playlist and wether it is fun or not doesn’t matter its whether it takes skill. That is what ranked is about. If I is gonna be on btb maps then put it in social.

Nope just hate the new experience. Dont believe me get the best sniper you know and ill verse them. This is not a salty post this is an annoyed post but making a playlist that I’ve wanted to ages better.
Honestly, I was wondering from the start why they didn’t have snipers on BTB maps to begin with. Older Halo Titles did the same if I remember correctly. To me, it doesn’t feel right having snipers on the Rig or Coliseum 
Because thats where it should be. Its a LONG DISTANCE WEAPON
