Before anybody starts ranting and raving on my post here me out. The reason why I think that the weapons need some more tweaking is because recently they made Halo 4 unplayable for me and most others. Here are my solutions for 343 to make them better.
• The Battle Rifle needs to be a 5SK again.
• The DMR needs the fire-rate reduced to match the current BR
• The Carbine needs to be a 8SK again
• The Light Right needs to be a 5SK all the way and the scoped mode fire-rate needs to be reduced to match the current BR
• The Assault Rifle needs the damage reduced.
• The Storm Rifle needs the damage reduced and a little bit more range.
• The Suppressor needs the damage reduced, the spread reduced, and a little bit more range.
• The Boltshot needs to be removed from Loadouts and placed on maps.
• The Plasma Pistol needs to be removed from Loadouts and placed on maps.
• Plasma Grenades need to be removed from Loadouts and placed on maps.
• Pulse Grenades need to be removed from Loadouts and placed on maps.
• The SAW needs the damage reduced.
• The Incineration Cannon needs to be nerfed a little bit.
• The Sniper, Beam, and Binary Rifle need the Aim-Assist reduced.
• The Needler needs the Aim-Assist reduced and it needs to be nerfed a little bit.
• The Railgun needs the Aim-Assist reduced.
• The rest of the weapons are just fine.
• Bullet-Magnetism needs to be permanently removed.
So here my list of things that 343 really should consider doing to the weapons in Halo 4. Feel free to agree or disagree, but don’t be a jerk about it. This is just my opinion.

however i agree with u that boltshot and plasmas should be removed from loadout aand that the plasma pistol can be removed but it’s not a must… though vehicle combats would be much funnier then
i don’t understand why the suppressor should be damage reduced and why the hell should the pulse grenade be taken out?
i agree that AR and SAW are maybe a bit too strong, but SAW is a power weapon so it’s okay…somehow

The TU fixed everything wrong with the weapons in Halo 4 for the most part. You want to reverse it. No thanks.

The tweak wasn’t perfect but it made the game much more balanced and faster paced.
You just want the game to be slower and easier, I oppose this 100%.

> Not it actually is a must that the Plasma Pistol and Boltshot get removed from the Loadouts, because ever since the release, they’re still causing problems in the gameplay. It would be best if they were placed on the maps so that CQC isn’t ruined and vehicular combat isn’t useless.

> The reason is because a damage buff makes the game feel to fast-paced and Halo is known for being slow-paced. The only real reason for Pulse Grenades needing to be removed from Loadouts is because they’re used to barricade players and objects, but most of it is just personal opinion.

Bullet-Magnetism does need to be removed because it allows noob-players to get easy shots on their targets, plus it lowers the skill gap.

No I don’t want the game to be easier. I just want the game to be more fair. The weapon tweaking was good for the most part, but a damage buff for all the weapons was unessessary.

A 5SK BR is good because it gives you time to figure out how to overcome the opponent shooting at you. Plus it doesn’t overpower all the other Loadouts weapons.
The Title Update for the most part fixed things, but there are still issues with the weapons. I never said that I wanted to reverse it, I just didn’t want the game to be even more unplayable. That’s the whole reason why the population has dropped even further.
How so? The changes listed in your OP pretty much reverse everything done in the update.
And everyone agrees that magnetism and aim assist is way too high in Halo 4. But no one’s going to agree that it should be removed entirely (well, at least no one who knows what they’re talking about). Aim assist and magnetism are necessary, at least in small amounts, simply because analog sticks don’t provide the same precision that a mouse does.
Everyone also agrees that a lot of weapons, like the Boltshot and Plasma Pistol, should be removed from loadouts.

The Suppressor being made even weaker? Um… No thanks ^^;
It’s already hard enough to kill someone with it as it is.
The rest of the suggestions… To put it politely I don’t exactly agree with them.
the population would have dropped either way, i bet no one quitted halo because of that
you maybe mean that bullet magnetism has to be reduced, but removed? i bet u dont wanna know how it is to make headshots in h4 without bullet magnetism
it does not allow noob-players to land easy shots on their targets, it allows everyone to play a nice combat situation( for example BR duel) or however u wanna call it

Your BR does the same damage as his. The opportunity is the same. The BR has always been a 4 shot kill until Halo 4 screwed it up then fixed it again. The 5SK BR was useless. It’s a short range DMR, which is pointless since you can just use a DMR which does the exact same thing with more range. The BR needs to have the damage advantage at mid range to be useful.
This sounds like a rollback to me… I much prefer the post-June weapons updates.
If loadouts reappear in Halo 5, then I’d like to see the boltshot return minus it’s 1sk capacity – it’s a decent medium range pistol then. I’d also like to see a plasma pistol that takes skill to use. I’d rather the charges build up in power so that vehicles aren’t automatically stopped but stalled based on the charge time. And Spartan shields aren’t always stripped… let’s add some skill to separate the noobs from the pros and then it won’t be such a terrible sidearm.

Why stop at a 5SK? If that’s good, a 10SK is even better, right? Think about how strategic the game will become!
Again, “The game is broken now, this will fix it.” Isn’t a valid reason. I can just say the opposite.

Of all the problems in this thread, that is probably the biggest. Talking about how a CONSOLE game is unplayable and then proposing the removal of aim-assist as a FIX is ridicules.
I felt the Tu made the weapons as good as they’re going to get. 4sk BR is the only way to go. What you seem to be asking with all the primary rifles is a nerf. That would just increase the kill times in the game and make an even bigger problem in my opinion.
The only real problem I’ve see with the balancing is the aim assist in this game. But i already posted before that I think a good fix for that would be buffing the base movement speed. If you buff the movement speed so you could move like you could in H2 you could out strafe others and actually make them miss. So weapons you once thought were OP really won’t seem that bad.
Also add descope back that way the DMR and Light Rifle won’t seem so OP on the bigger maps. They’ll still be very good, but it will at least give you a chance to fight back.
So basically base movement speed and descope are my answer. I honestly think it would make a huge difference in how people perceive these issues.
So you want to make all the weapons feel like crap?
Halo 4’s Turbo update was the best thing to happen to the game. The BR wasn’t a 5sk DMR clone, the automatics could actually be lethal now, and the DMR isn’t the main weapon to use. The fact you want everything weaker is just, well, stupid.
Making everything weaker isn’t the way to weapon balancing.
Also, why get rid of the Light Rifles unique attribute to be both a 4/5SK?
However, I do agree that the Boltshot, Plasma Grenades, and Plasma Pistol needs to be removed from Loadout, SAW does need a damage nerf, and the aim assist needs to be reduced across the board.

How does nerfing the damage buff make it more “fair”?
It just slows the pacing of the game without impacting the balance. And most people think the turbo update was a good thing.
