halo becoming communistic
Hey, you did the same thing with your thread titles, why are you complaining?
Oh, and stop bumping your threads.
Makes it more difficult to capture the flag so you can’t just grab it and sneak through their base. I like it, you have to actually wipe out the enemy, grab the flag, use team work to keep enemies off you and THEN capture it.

Oh my god, go back to school.
But why they do this
In the new CTF gametype, the flag can be capped, regardless if their team’s flag is there or not.
To keep it somewhat balanced, a waypoint is on the flag at all times, allowing players to coordinate, and maybe delay the capture so they can get to 3 points first.
Because having deep strategic gameplay is apparently a bad thing these days.

If you paid attention, this CTF works differently than previous 2 Flag CTFs. You don’t need your flag at your base to capture the enemy team’s flag.
By keeping a waypoint over your head, it doesn’t become a race of who can cap 3 flags first. Instead, players would require strategy and actually protect the carrier so that they can make a fast safe trip home. At the same time, they’ll need to delay the enemy team’s trip for as long as possible to keep them from advancing.
There is still strategy. By adding the waypoint on the flag, it keeps it from becoming a race where killing enemy players would become a waste of time. Instead, they give the team to either attempt to stop a flag run, or to make a flag run, depending on what is happening.

lol…
You didn’t always need flag at home to score in previous games. So obviously you’re the one who hasn’t been paying attention.
Also, by differently you mean extremely cut down and extremely basic to the point of only having 1 or 2 possible strategies. Yes? Well, it doesn’t matter if you meant it or not, that’s simply the fact of it.
