Ok first I just want to tell everyone that I’m not complaning about the Grenade Launcher being removed but to me it seems like the Sticky Detinator is just a VERY nerfed GL.
The GL was not even overpowered so I do not se the point of removing it.
The GL (opinion) was almost the only new and innovativ weapon in Reach that was fun to shoot and required some amount of skill to use so to remove it is beyond me.
My qustion to all of you is, what do you think is the reason of removing the GL?

No idea why they axed the propipe. The SD will be cool, but I don’t see it being cooler than the GL. Just my opinion.
Now that you’ve made me think about it, it’s probably because of the new Promethean grenade. The new Promethean grenade is an EMP grenade and so they’ve changed the EMP grenade of the GL to a Plasma grenade and have labelled it the SD.
Because it was underused and not very popular.
It’s not because it’s a bad weapon, but it wasn’t on many maps and people don’t seem to pick it up often even if it is on the map. When I ask people outside of my own team in my friendlist, they will almost all say that they don’t care about the Grenade Launcher.
I loved it, but I will give new weapons the chance as well, the Rail Gun looks awesome!
I love the GL. The first time i used it in reach it felt so right. I love getting those multi-kills with it.

most people who played halo never figured out how beast the grenade launcher was. Instead of giving people the chance to learn it they instead thought it would be more cool to add Promethean shotgun, rockets, sniper and AR clones that are not different in any way other than power and a useless ricochet.
Just goes to show you how bad 343 is at weapon design =/

I think people did not pick it up becuase so few maps that supported it. When I play a map that have a GL always someone picks it up (If not, then it’s mine :D) .
It’s not a fan favorite. It is hard to use for new players.

I agree with you but please keep it civil, you know mods around here.
The Grenade Launcher was fun to use when placing traps for people to go over and then detonate it, which is one reason I’m going to love the Sticky Detonator.
