Why the rocket launch doesn’t work well?

I was at ranked match and I was using the rocket launcher but this weapon doesn’t kill one shot anymore. Any reason or explain about it? I have 1gb internet Ethernet and is no make senses.

I don’t care what anyone says, a “balanced game” makes for a boring game because there are way too many things watered down in this game. It’s why I have been playing Halo Reach, no, not the one 343 broke in MCC but the original Reach that is more fun than this will be at the moment.

As far as the rocket launcher goes, what you might be experiencing is lag :man_shrugging:

Yeah I know but no makes sense when you’re gonna kill someone with the rocket in one shot and you won’t be able to kill ‘em for this reason.

The same happen with the Melee

I don’t know how to word this right, but what I found is that I have to hit key points on the map to get that one-shot kill. I think it was designed that way.

Cos half the SPNKR’s damage is mitigated by the spartans not having real legs, the legs you see are just holographic projections that only other players can see.
Don’t believe me look down in game…No legs!

I have noticed the SPNKR is really tame in this title.

I believe the blast radius is tightened as well as damage being tuned more specifically to the distance from the blast.

The speed of the rocket is impressive, but the ready up time is kinda depressing.

Kinda surprising that you’re able to do damage with the rocket launcher at all considering my rockets kinda vanish into thin air when I shoot them

I’d say more than tame. It just sucks. In tandem with the poor hit detection and desync combo. The spnkr feels unreliable. Moments where you’d expect it to kill, it only breaks shield (or it won’t even do that if you’re really unlucky).

There’s been more than a few fire and forgets only to do a 180 and see the still living corpse of the Spartan unloading an AR at me.

I don’t think it has it now, but it could really use a crowd control knockback effect to at least take pressure off of you.

I’d say if the netcode gets improved, as well as a lot of the other bugs. The rockets might become viable.

Maybe in season two. The team may be out of the office for a month once the Valentines Day Holiday hits.

I think the blast radius on the Spnkr is sporadic, meaning the blast radius is different every shot. Either randomized or dependent on the map terrain.

This was also an issue in Infection back in Halo 5. You could shoot right next to Infected and they would run right through the explosion.

I think that other green rocket launcher in Halo 5(M57 PAW), had a wider explosion radius.

Your shot was too far from the target. It’s unfortunate, but with this iteration of the SPNKR you really need to basically hit it right on their feet to get a one hit kill. I’m at the point where I automatically switch to BR after firing a rocket because I expect to have to clean it up.

It’s the awful desync and hit registration with the game servers. If they ever manage to fix that the entire game will play differently. Right now people who are awful get free kills because they happen to be on a lucky connection, and vice versa

:sob::sob::sob::sob::sob: yeah bro that’s the same thing

For sure 343 should be release new patch soon!

In some many case this shot kill whatever thing close from that rocket. Something happen in game bro

too far for his target?
Last time I check it was a rocket launcher, not a sniper rifle.
When you have that weapon you expect to kill everything in its path when you fire that.

Now I don’t even bother getting it because it is not worth it.
