Why The Reputation System Needs to be Removed

It has been long enough! The flawed reputation system does not belong on a competitive game such as Halo!

Why is this such a big issue?
Ever since Microsoft introduced this system for the Xbox One, it has punished those who are genuinely competitive/skilled at games and also those who are well known in the community such as YouTube personalities and Twitch Streamer’s. Basically, this only affects such a niche and small percentage of the community, that a lot of developers have under looked this immensely flawed system. So those top Halo matchmaking players who are legitimately dedicated, motivated, and competitive to win and strive to be the best, are hit catastrophically by this system. Same with popular internet Halo players. It doesn’t matter how good, nice, or fair you play/act. The internet is obviously a place filled with jealously and trolling people who will do anything to ruin or sabotage these people’s experiences for doing nothing but being good at the game or being known online.

Why does this concern me?
I recently just started competitive Warzone YouTube and Twitch channel’s at the end of last January. Many of you know who my friends and I are by now. Our channels are doing really well and are growing quickly. We are also apart of the highly competitive, skillful, and elite spartan company Dominated. This group is largely looked upon as having one of the best Warzone/BTB teams in the world. Our goal is to win and nothing less. Our strive and dedication to win is unlike anything else. Needless to say, this competitiveness has gained us a popular reputation in the big player communities, and with this reputation, comes the false and jealousy reports. These last couple of months we have been so excited for Warlords and have been hyping our viewers for this weekend. Well not all my viewers are supporters. Dozens of them have messaged spartan companies, teams, friends lists, and even random people in my games to report my team and I. These people do this for many different reasons. They don’t want to have to face the best team, they despise and hold grudges against us, and finally, they want to ruin our weekends and content we really want to capture and stream. I’ve received over 300 reports these last couple of weeks and I’m in “Avoid Me” Reputation, so I won’t be able to participate in Warlords if nothing is done about it.

How can this be fixed?
Simple. Turn off the use of Microsoft’s reputation system. Many games don’t use this system. That is why I am able to grind World of Tanks, Battlefield, Battlefront, Neverwinter, etc.

To conclude, this system is highly flawed and unfair for a small, but legit part of the community. You can get further information about this concern on my YouTube discussion video: Discussing "Avoid Me" Reputation and Showcasing REQ Collection Before Warlords (1,000 Subs Hype!) - YouTube

This isn’t a Halo thing. This is an Xbox Live thing.
