Slayer based games are the most populated, since they are all broken or just bad (Slayer Pro) people don’t play. Simple.
Nothing to do with Black Ops

It’s funny how all my buddys that used to play Halo dont even play Halo 4 anymore, some migth boot it up just to play a few matches. Heck reading different forums and they all say the same obvious reasons on why they dont play Halo 4 or dont like it.
A good amount of the reasosn is talked about in this video.

Seen it. I’m getting bored of this game, Infinity Slayer is broken. Slayer Pro is bad. All Objective games are boring since hardly anyone tries to win, just a bunch of kill farmers.
This game is good, but it is too broken at the moment for anyone to really enjoy it.

Agreed.
Though I don’t think they will fix anything significant with a patch, just some small tweaks here and there. Stuff like the flinching and descoping will stay I fear.
Do you think 343 will ‘save’ Halo 4 with the upcoming patch and that people will return?
halo 4 matchmaking is awful every precision weapon is to accurate, in BTB matches everyone is camping with their dmr and hitting every shot from 300m with out even looking… since release of blops 2 the population actually did get half.
halo 4 is a great game, but i got other great games that i still love to play as well. games like perfect dark(n64 version, but on the xbox), the walking dead, ninety-nine nights, bladestorm the hundred year war, etc. i’m currently taking a break from halo 4 and playing ninety-nine nights! the music is epic!!! great game if you like to slaughter hundreds to thousands of soldiers. bladestorm is another great game if you like strategy games.
for pc gamers, shogun 2 total war is a great game as well! i highly recommend you guys checking it out.
as much as i love halo 4, it’s good to balance out your games and play them all every now and then.
You know what really sucks though? Certain uneccessary things (e.g flinching and slower shield regen times) were introduced so that you have to choose a specialization perk to fix them. Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the Rogue specialization prevent you from flinching so much? Like, what’s the point? Why not remove flinching and let perks be something interesting and unique.
Back when I only prowled around on TwitchTV chats instead of forums, I said this was going to happen. ‘The Halo Council’ started the podcast with some faults they felt could be patched in the game, then something happened. You see, the guest on the show, ‘Cursed Lemon’ has a history and reputation for his hate speeches towards Bungie.
Cursed Lemon used the ‘What can be fixed’ platform as an opportunity to fire at 343i in hopes of gaining his former glory. The one problem watching that video for me, was that I absolutely love this game, Halo 4. Cursed Lemon had a legitimate stance when complaining about Halo 3 and Halo:Reach; however, he is now just complaining for attention.
Before the podcasts, TwitchTV chats were filled with praises of the game along with the ever-present trolling. The community as a whole were rejoicing as if Christmas had came after playing Halo 4 for a bit. Seemingly, this ‘The Halo Council’ crew has been followed and listened to without rational thinking by many avid MLG fans. These MLG fans put their trust in people like U4ix, Gandhi, Dmaq, and Nexy.
I’ve witnessed more brain washing in a single hour than I’ve seen watching a North Korea documentary (exaggeration). The fault of this, I feel, lay in the hands of Cursed Lemon and U4ix entirely. A400poundwhale (Molly) has been a leader in the competitive Big Team Battle community, showing that she’s open-minded and works hard to dish-out fair, competitive settings. U4ix has obviously been taking advantage of this controversy for more publicity to The Halo Council, while he really does love this game.
Let’s stop being mindless and take a moment to think rationally. Play a few games in either a custom game with friends or just simply matchmaking. Ask yourself if this game is as bad as Halo:Reach, and be honest with yourself. The Halo Council does not represent the entire competitive community, and they shouldn’t. The only people who actually play the game are U4ix, Elamitewarrior, and A400poundwhale. Nearly every other person on the THC podcast are there for a soap opera, which the podcast has entirely become. Again, stop linking that podcast and start thinking for yourself.

I don’t watch those podcasts nor do I know who most of those people are.
Personally though, I feel frustrated and tense when I play Halo 4. It’s so fast, it’s just constant kill, run, kill, run, kill, run, kill, run, kill, die, instant respawn, power weapon, kill… Very hard to relax with the game in the same way I did with Halo 3. Bleh, that’s I how I feel about it.

The idea of Halo 4 is to be more sped up, more competitve I like how it’s more faster paced, but now it just seems like dying happens a little too much.
As for the rest of you, the game is only as broken as you think. Ever heard of adapting? You stick to the same strategy in an entirely new field, of course you’re going to have a bad time :\ This isn’t your dad’s Halo, and thus of course it won’t play the same.
I’ll agree that some of the Objective lists are a little “broken”, but that’s because nobody seems to know anything about teamwork, which is what winning in CTF or etc. requires. You can’t just have EVERYONE rush for the flag, some Bluetard’s gonna steal it from under your nose when you’re all away.
And even still, BLOPS2, along with a whole bunch of potentially hundreds of other factors could explain the population drops. Just sayin’
BLOPS2 - a franchise that is significantly more popular than Halo right now - launched right after Halo 4 did, plus this last weekend was a holiday weekend and lots of people were traveling and being with families.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why the population dipped. Wait until after Christmas.

“The idea of Halo 4 is to be more competitive”. LOL. It’s the complete opposite of being competitive, everything is random and chaotic.

It’s better than Reach. They’re voicing serious issues with the game.
I’m not sure how that’s a bad thing or misrepresenting anyone. The game has some serious issues, and the podcast seems to bring them into the spotlight so that they can be fixed.
To put it in perspective for you. I haven’t actually played H4 for a week because most of the playlists are no fun as a result of the light rifle and active camo, and no radar in Slayer Pro.

I was going to write a long winded response to your hateful, ignorant, and just plain wrong post. But I decided against it since, well, your stupid and the gesture would be lost on you.
No, because you have nothing to say.

And you can easily reach Sr130 if you have Double xp and play Spartan Ops alot. Also the serves are incredible broken. This is probably the most boring halo i’ver played.
I’ve stopped playing because the game isn’t a proper Halo game, I continued playing Reach because I still gained enjoyment from it, but Halo 4 is missing something - fun.
I realised it when I decided to play Halo 3 again over the weekend. I was having fun and I’m not with Halo 4. There are numerous unfair flaws in the game and I don’t think they will be fixed so I’ve stopped playing Halo 4 because it was stressing me out.
I’m still checking the forums here to see if anything improves, as my heart wants to like the game, but I doubt the game will improve enough to remove those deeply ingrained flaws.
I like Halo 4 a lot I think it’s better than Halo 2.
> Slayer based games are the most populated, since they are all broken or just bad (Slayer Pro) people don’t play. Simple.

It has a lot to do with Black Ops, but not everything to do with Black Ops
Halo 4 got released on the 6th. The population was consistently around 400k until Black Ops 2 was released a week later.
Black Ops 2 was released on the 13th and Halo 4 hasn’t passed 250k since. It had a few days just under 250k, then it dropped to under 200k and now we are at around 150k and still dropping.
Don’t believe me?
Here’s some sauce
Other reasons the population are dropping are…
Some people don’t like the changes and direction Halo is going.
No visible trueskill ranks yet, and CoD has them now. Not to mention when we do get them, they will be web based only. Very inconvenient.
The people saying they only play for fun, bashing visible trueskill ranks, and how its only pixels next to your name, but are now complaining their progressive rank is stuck at SR 70, or that they are XP capped.
The lack of good playlists and popular ones being rotated out. Doubles is one of these “rotational hoppers”.
The lack of replay value on Campaign/SpOps with no scoring system
The lack of options on custom games. No assault, no 1 flag etc…
The lack of flat areas for forgers.
Over simplified mechanics, like auto pickup and waypoints everywhere.
Some minor things also. Less emblems, taking out medals like perfections, Sword, sniper, hammer sprees, Sniper headshots, and sticks for lame ones like generic kill.
No X on death.
JIP, instant respawn, and broken kill cams.
Are just a few more reasons why people are frustrated and leaving the game.

Wait, so when he complains about something that you don’t like, it’s legitimate, but when he complains about something you find fun, he’s making it all up? Your argument doesn’t make sense here. I couldn’t care less what happened during the Bungie days.
> Before the podcasts, TwitchTV chats were filled with praises of the game along with the ever-present trolling.
Wait, so because they have complaints about the way something in the game works, it’s trolling? What happened to constructive criticism? What about just criticism in general, without being constructive? Why is it trolling? Is the President trolling when he doesn’t allow a bill to get passed, but instead asks for it to be edited? Again, your argument doesn’t make sense, and your bias is killing me.
> The community as a whole were rejoicing as if Christmas had came after playing Halo 4 for a bit.
I certainly wasn’t. I played several games, got the hang of it, but grew tired of it within a few hours. It didn’t feel right. The weapon systems, the spawning, nothing felt right.
> I’ve witnessed more brain washing in a single hour than I’ve seen watching a North Korea documentary (exaggeration). The fault of this, I feel, lay in the hands of Cursed Lemon and U4ix entirely. Again, why is this brainwashing? Because they speak to a larger audience than yourself? Many obviously find their points relevant, and you don’t have to watch the whole video to see that. Check out the Halo 4 forum you’re in right now. Check out the Matchmaking forum on the other page. People everywhere are complaining about a myriad of things.
> Let’s stop being mindless and take a moment to think rationally. Play a few games in either a custom game with friends or just simply matchmaking. Ask yourself if this game is as bad as Halo:Reach, and be honest with yourself. Again, stop linking that podcast and start thinking for yourself.
I fail to understand how watching and agreeing with the video is mindless. See, to me, it’s the exact opposite. It shows that we are being heard, that others have the same feelings as us, and we can communicate with the other community members.
The only “mindless” things I see - and I keep on seeing them - are the posts saying something like, “343i good job. You did a very nice job with the game, and haters are gonna hate. Keep up the good work!”
That does nothing. The game clearly isn’t finished (or even remotely polished), and there are many things to be fixed.
I think for myself. That’s why I enjoy (and get frustrated with) these forums. If can come here and have a decent discussion about something, but half the time the people I’m arguing with don’t respond. Is it because they don’t understand me? Probably not, because I make myself quite clear. Is it because they don’t want to understand me, for fear of the realization that their beloved game might actually contain flaws? Probably, yes.
So stop throwing around biased arguments (if you can call what you wrote an argument) and start making relevant posts.
You say that this video is nothing but brainwash, right? Well, prove it to us. Go through at least the first five topics that they talk about and provide reasons why they are fine how they are now. I guarantee you I can counter each and every one of your arguments, because, simply put, the game is broken in its current state.
