Why the Master Chief must die

WHEN 117 must say his farewell, for his own sake it must be because he died. The Master Chief must go out in a blaze if glory (and plasma). I would hate to see him retire, to see him become weak. He must die to save humanity. He must have the most memorable death of anyone ever. A badass man deserves a badass end,for example the new Halo ring is about to be fired, and Blue team have to blow it up, but there is no chance for escape. The UNSC have been thought off, and there are no means of travel. In their last seconds, they fight off waves of enemies, until they die

He needs to die in a classic warthog driving section while the halo ring is exploding.

OR, warthog driving off of a guardian while it’s exploding.

You know what I think mate? I think The Masterchief shouldn’t die.

If the Masterchief dies, Halo dies with him, that’s my say, you can make spin-off games without him for sure but if MC dies, there’s no point in Halo anymore, MC is the only protagonist of this whole mess, other characters are all secondary…

They should kill him in the first cutscene in the game, for the lolz.

Dude lol, I could only imagine what people would do.

@op: I have to agree, if they do kill him off (which I do think needs to happens cuz halos universe offers so many possibilities that go beyond just one guy) it needs to be a good death at least. One that has meaning and would put a chill in our spine.

Just have an anvil fall from the astroid belt and crush him? It could work, but I think some people would be confused as to where that Anvil came from, and why the Pelicans windshield wasn’t Anvil rated.

It needs to be in a final stand…like Noble six…him, The arbiter, blue team and Osiris are with him, in cortanas control room, the banished begin attacking the control room, trapping them all…one by one…they are overwhelmed, until only the chief, arbiter, and Locke remain…the arbiter charges forward slaying several elites but is then mown down by a squad of Elite generals. Locke opens fire on them but is soon stabbed through the chest by another General, leaving only the chief…he empties his last clip into the elite that killed Locke and pulls out the Magnum he got in CE, he makes a final stand but is shot repeatedly, while laying there…cheid looks around him…his friends and allies all killed…his armor charred and his visor cracked…an elite picks him up by the neck…and drives his sword into the chief…the elite drops him and the chiefs helmet falls off…finally revealing his face

If he dies here’s how it should be.

On a halo ring with the covonent flood and promethians all fighting as blue team and Arbiter races to the control room. There is no way off the ring, when they get to the temple blue team says they will stay behind to give Arbiter and chief some time. when the two get to the control room the warden wounds the chief. Arbiter decides to fight the warden eternal to buy chief the time he needs to activate halo. When the Arbiter is about to die wardens asks if he has any last words. Arbiter says were it so easy and sticks warden in the face. When the chief gets to the terminal he takes off his helmet showing his face, as he lights halo. Thus destroying the flood and restarting the galaxy while also saving it.

This would be pretty cool

So nobody liked ODST, Reach or Wars?

Spartans never die.

Rather see MC use a Halo Ring with helmet off to end all the corruption in humanity. Doing that will make Halo Halo.

Here comes the attack of the MC fanboys

Well to quote the gravemind…

All life dies all worlds too, and if there is guaranteed perpetual existence. What does it matter how the end come?

Thankyou. Spartans are registered as MIA.

sounds an awful lot like reach. The Chief will meet his end… Or not. Apparently, Locke is the preferred character for Halo 6 (not my thought, but a rumor from an undisclosed 343 person). A game without the chief? Well, Reach and H3: ODST were fun, so more Locke could work, but I’d prefer 117.

anyway, I’m intrigued with the direction of this story so let’s see what 343 does with it

Well to quote DR Halsey…

Despite the UNSC policy of listing every spartan as missing or wounded in action when killed I have kept track of the one actually missing. There was Randall in 2532 Kurt in 2531 and Sheila in 2544… -ghosts of onyx.

Please tell me 343 won’t actually take anything here serious, you want to make us all happy? The only suitable replacement for MC and the cushion for the blow would be my own Spartan, simular to what reach did, otherwise, Master Chief better stay alive well Halo 9 damit!
