i had just recently just found that out as well. not quite sure why but eh, the mantis is still pretty cool

EDIT: This is a shot at the dark but didnt one of the music directors work with the metal gear games? Maybe it was just a way of thanking him

I always thought this, too. Personally, I’m perfectly okay with it and usually just call it a Metal Gear (sometimes REX) anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Originally, they had the mechanical to be more of a power suit(powersuit-ception). However, they chose this design to make it a bit more logical.

As to why, piloting a Metal Gear in Halo is just flat out awesome. An armored super soldier is one thing. An armored, walking tank of death with missiles, shielding, and a machine gun is just awesome.

All it’s missing is a railgun and nukes to fire anywhere on Requiem. It at least has a Raydome xD

But yeah. The Radome is totally there. No question about it.

All I can think of when I do the stomp is when Liquid stomped on Gray Fox.

I am still trying to get that Stomp achievement but the randoms don’t feel like being Grey Fox ;/
