Why the Heck are there rounds in Oddball?

Please go back to regular Oddball if one round. It’s like they make changes just to make them.

Nah because some people just camp the ball or got lucky and you want a best 2/3. That’s like saying you want 1 flag capture per match.

Because sometimes a team will be able to get the skull to a really strong position that is easy to defend and the other team can do nothing to stop it. The rounds give the losing team a 2nd chance to have a more fair fight in those instances.

Of course they camp with it you expect them to give it to you? Y’all have to same excuse over and over. It’s called MAP CONTROL.

So you’re just mad because you won one round and want to be done and get your 50 BP XP already. I see. Tough. They could make the round 3x longer instead but I prefer it this way like in Grifball, instead of being one very long round, it resets, giving a pace change to the losing team to rethink their play. It’s an e-sport. Sports reset positions after a point is scored.

So if you’re not as good as the other team you want a handout. Gotcha

I actually like it. Swapping the starting points helps a bit with any “good side” issues. And “best of” series have been around for a while for a reason.

I usually play 4v4 when I have some friends on with party chat so we have no issue winning 9/10 quick play matches with good communication. It doesn’t affect me at all how many matches it takes. I’m not that lazy to complain about 2 more rounds in a match.
