To start off with Halo 5 in my opinion already don’t look that great! It does look better then Halo 4 for the most part, but still seems to play like Halo 4. I could get into millions of reasons why i think Halo 5 looks bad and why i think it sucks. I mean first of all they lied about basing Halo 5 off of the success of Halo 2 and Halo 3. That crappy looking game looks nothing like Halo 2 or Halo 3. But this post is about the weapons, i understand change feels necessary to some, but Halo 5 crossed the line in my opinion. But why would you change the guns??
Battle Rifle: It looks and sounds AWFUL! Like why would you change the way the “Traditional Legendary Battle Rifle” looks? That gun use to feel powerful when wielding! Now it just looks like a useless piece of crap. 343 please after the beta change the BR back to its original scope and sounds!
DMR: I’ve personally never been a fan of the DMR, but that scope looks horrendous on it, please 343 change it back!
Sniper Rifle: Oh my GOD, don’t even get me started on that “Toaster Oven attached to a barrel so called” Sniper Rifle! Should have learned from Halo 4, NO ONE LIKED THE SNIPER RIFLE IN THAT GAME. Aside from Halo 4 sniper being to easy to use for the average Halo player, it looked awful and didn’t sound the best. But in Halo 5 game play the sound wasn’t that…bad, i guess. But for the love of god PLEASE change that ugly weapon and make it look like a weapon that has a meaning, you know like it used to in cough cough Halo 2 and Halo 3 and geez EVEN HALO REACH.
SMG: That SMG looks like a weapon out of COD, i mean this game is already pushing to far into a “COD like game” could you at least leave the weapons alone. 343 please make the SMG look like the Halo SMG…THANKS

The BR, the SMG, and the pistol all look like 343 was trying their hardest to emulate Call of Duty. I mean the red dot on the BR instead of the normal scope WHAT THE -Yoink-. I just watched the footage in depth and I cannot believe this.

You’re a idiot. I am well aware of the SMG being invented before COD. The Halo 5 SMG looks like a sub machine out of COD now. It doesn’t look anything like the SMG you are used to see in Halo.

Exactly, whole reason i even made this topic. They are slowing taking the “Halo” out of Halo titles with each new game.
I dunno, I’m not a fan of the artistic direction either.
The Halo 2 SMG was a pretty unique model, this one isn’t quite as unique (that P90 style magazine).
People I know have taken to calling the Sniper’s Scope the Wall-E Scope.
The Pistol still resembles the old one, just a bit sleeker. And with unnecessary iron sights…

Have you ever seen an Assault Rifle that looks like the Halo CE AR? Or a pistol that looks like the Halo CE Magnum?
The point is the weapons are supposed to look unique and sci-fi, not like generic modern guns.
Actually, not just the guns. Look at the vehicles, the armor the marines are wearing, or anything made by the UNSC really.

I didn’t absolutely hate the Halo 4 BR, but i would defnitly prefer the Halo 2 and Halo 3 BR style.
