Why the disappearance?

I put this here because it retains to the entire Storm Covenant, and perhaps it’s been asked before.

Why didn’t they follow the Didact to Earth after the level Composer? Did the stations defense wipe them out? Did the Didact tell them not to? Did they go back to Requiem for a “Religious” purpose they do while Didact wrecks Humanity? If Jul hates Humans so much, what gives? Is he scared of Chief or Arby lol?

I honestly am not fond of the Storm, or Jul. They’re still blinded and worship the Didact and all that. Weak.

Seriously, what happened?

Someone has to watch the house while the parent is away.

Didn’t even think of that. Very valid point. Wow. Lol.

Also, Jul isn’t religious or blinded by the Didact.

He’s just taking advantage of those who are. He’s actually pretty crafty, even though he’s both arrogant and ignorant.

Prometheans were left on Requiem to guard it, why not Compose the Storm, or a good chunk of it, then head to Earth for more offense, if he’s really afraid of Humanity?

He went there with just a handful of Prometheans right?

Does he really need all that firepower? We saw him pretty much shrug off the orbital defense platforms and repair his ship flawlessly after a hit from the Infinity’s most powerful weapon. He wasn’t afraid of humanity, he was just insane and that blinded him in the end. He wasn’t expecting Chief to even be alive after Composing Ivanoff Station or Cortana pinning him to the hardlight bridge.

As I posted in your other thread, I don’t think he’s scared of Modern Humanity, hence why he throws the Cheif around like he’s a joke.

He’s scared of our potential.

Random thought, I really, really hope that the “meat” of the Halo story takes place 100s or 1000s of years in the future, far after the Reclaimer Saga ends. Like I hope the Precursor thing happens that far in the future, so that it doesn’t feel rushed.

Because he specifically wants to compose humanity as payment for their crimes. Composing the covenant would probably be violating the Mantle.

While nuts and evil, the Didact still cares very much about the Mantle and preserving life.

I’m sure Jul’s fine with not having his warrior’s composed in case he and the didact come to a disagreement.

Unless he sees you as a threat to the Forerunners, then you meet Mr. Composer.

Station defenses may have taken a toll on their ships as well, so they could have accepted the Didact’s recommendation to retreat to Requiem. As said before, Humanity is his target, not the Storm.
