We know that Primordium is told by a damaged fragment of Chakas, dubbed 343 Guilty Spark by the ONI team. This fragment was questioned about the Didact and Forerunner-Human relations, so Chakas told them his story.
The strange thing is, the ONI Scientists ask specifically about the Didact. Chakas responds:
“Why are you so interested in the Didact? Is he proving to be difficult to Humans once again?”
Could this be a hint to Reclaimer Trilogy and the Ancient Evil? Is the Didact being difficult?
Later, the scientists were discussing whether Chakas’ story is true. After all, he is damaged and admitted that his memory is failing.
Then one of the scientists speaks about the Bornstellar Relation, found on Onyx. How the information Chakas is giving them matches up almost perfectly with the information from the Bornstellar Relation. What is the Bornstellar Relation? When was it discovered? It has to be before the end of the Covenant War because Onyx broke up during the Battle of Onyx. Unless they meant Trevelyn.
So, two things to discuss. This is somewhat asking for opinions and theories, because I know these things, especially the Bornstellar Relation, haven’t been touched upon.
Could the Humans interest in the Didact be a hint for the Reclaimer Trilogy? Could Chakas’ comment about the Didact being difficult be a hint? After all, the Forerunner Saga has connections to Halo 4.
What is the Bornstellar Relation? Where/when was it found? What information did it give?

Well, I am only speculating, but I would guess the Bornstellar Relation is going to be addressed in The Thursday War.
> Halo: The Thursday War picks up immediately where Halo: Glasslands left off, with forces on Earth and among the Covenant threatening a peace that is precarious at best. With a splinter group among the Sangheili pushing for war, some human colonies rebel against Earth authority; and as ONI policy continues to shift with the volatile situation in space, the discovery of a trove of Forerunner technology on Onyx provokes leaders on Earth to seek uses for it in the conflict. For the fight is far from over…
So hopefully we’ll get a clearer image of what the Relation is and what it says about the Didact.
As for the “Didact being difficult”, to me, that says that those scenes with the Chakas monitor take place after or right around the time setting of Halo 4.

Wow… I completely forgot about The Thursday War.
Perhaps you’re right, and it will be addressed there. It would make sense.
When does it come out?

Well obviously not like that lol, but the contents INSIDE.
Thursday war comes out in October I believe. Though I doubt the book will go to deep into Didact- that’s Greg Bear’s territory. I think the book will go into the Promethean Knights, and things like that.
Bornstellar/Didact will probably be left for Silentium.

Haha
So, they find something that tells them the story of Cryptum? Like an artifact that has records of the time? Bornstellar’s personal diary?

Well, at the very least, I would hope we’d get a general idea of what the Bornstellar Relation is. Perhaps DeceptionCobra is correct in that the Relation is the story told in Cryptum (a theory I had completely forgotten about but definitely support).

Probably true.
But it could talk about the Bornstellar Relation, a discovery on Onyx telling them of events similar to Chakas’ story.
I was just looking through Cryptum again, and found something that makes your idea of Cryptum being the Bornstellar Relation completely possible.
In the very beginning, before the actual story, it says “AI Translator Note”.
As in the story is being translated for us. That could be a definite clue that Cryptum is the Bornstellar Relation.
The original Didact was killed in Cryptum with Bornstellar becoming the new Didact at the end of Cryptum and in Primordium, this may be the Bornstellar Relation.
If Chakas was saying that he was giving the humans problems again that could be referencing how Bornstellar had draged Chakas and Riser into all of this.
As for the Ancient Evil I have my own theory that it is the Confirmer from Cryptum as for he is the reason for Bornstellar, the Didact, Chakas and Riser being captured.

SCIENCE TEAM LEADER: “We disagree about the
possibility of a ruse. Everything the monitor has related
ties in with other Forerunner records we have
discovered-including the Bornstellar Relation found
on Onyx. There is no possibility of recent
communication between those points. The data
matches, and so it is almost cetainly accurate.”

I agree. Especially since the beginning of Cryptum says “AI Translator Note”.

I don’t know. Some old Forerunner brought up in the first book and never seen again being the ancient evil threatening the galaxy? Doesn’t really fit.
I think AIs are going to feature a fair bit. Also the enemies we saw in halo 4 look mechanical/robotic and dead. I think perhaps the forerunners we fight in Halo 4 have seriously lost there way or become corrupted or something. They don’t seem to represent the civilisation who ruled the galaxy and built the Halos. The inversion of the Didect symblem almost rubber-stamps that theory.
It’s not going to be as simple as the Forerunners wanting to destroy humanity again. There is more to it. The main protagonists won’t become clear until Halo 5 or 6 I think.
Didect will be in it of course, there are 3 games to tell the story don’t forget. There will be several characters involved. Some already known, some not. First we need to find out what happened to the last of the forerunners. It’s clear after the various wars, their civilisation collapsed and they are in decline as a race.
Sometimes to defeat the enemy, you have to become the enemy.
