Dominion CSR is team based so in order to rank up your team has to win.
I had this issue in TS too. U have to beat higher CSR players to rank up. Otherwise it can even happen that u rank down. Kinda broken i know… so don’t worry too much about CSR, it’s not worth it.

To bad a game before my 47 I won and took first.
DNF’s don’t affect your CSR and even when I took 7th, I had the most points. (It isn’t team based.)
But everyone digresses. Is it fixable? Because it blows de-ranking for no reason.
(My game as a 46 that brought me up to a 47.) https://app.halowaypoint.com/en-us/Halo4/VileAfterBirth/home/match-8ec71153350ce78f
You’re gonna have to explain your reply. CSR is a game behind. Dominion Light is individual based (meaning it cares about your overall personal score and not if you win or lose.) I placed first the game before my 47, the game it updated to me having a 47 and the game it updated to me suddenly dropping to a 45. DNF’s will update your CSR to what it actually currently is.
I know that because the Rumble Pit game my CSR became a 50 everyone in that game got an incomplete due to host migration.
So why did I derank for NO REASON!?!?!?
343i hasn’t released much detailed information on CSR and the information they have released is inaccurate. It may be broken or it may be doing exactly what it’s supposed to; no one can know. And if no one knows how to use it, it’s not as meaningful. For this reason, though ranks in Halo 3 were accurate enough that you could tell the difference between a 46 and a 47, in Halo 4, CSR is more of an approximation.

Incorrect. People would place first and get a de-rank because it registered them getting last place. It never used the Ric CSR.
Edit - Oh, I never realized that problem. But people did get deranks from it.
I was one of the few people to get a CSR 50 in race. I got the ricochet glitch which boosted my ricochet CSR to a 49. I played around 150 games of ricochet with an 80% win rate and fell from 49 to 33.
The issue was never resolved but it doesn’t matter now that ricochet is gone.
