I’m not saying not to add the classic beam rifle. I’m not complaining that the’re adding it either, but I just don’t understand why they are. How can this be different than the one we have already, other than visually?
It’s not different I bet. It just looks different so 343 expects praise for it. Hope I’m wrong though. This update better have race secretly in it. With an actually playlist and all.
Maybe it’s foreshadowing a classic playlist. 
I doubt that, but I don’t know why they’re adding it since it seems redundant to keep adding more.
Maybe it won’t give off scope glare to an opposing player looking at the user.
Can someone link me to the Community update, I have to eliminate some blurred REQs. I also don’t think a gold civie’ 'hog is coming since they also revealed a gold Wraith and Ghost.
On the matter of the CU link, I for some reason still see the Campaign Score Attack as the latest one.

The new old beam rifle has various variants and the one of them (the blue one with stripes) apparently does DoT.
Who knows, maybe they are gonna be really creative with the new beam rifles, instead of more ammo, less heat and burst per trigger.
Think we could have gone for something else, but it’s whatever. The more classic things the better
Eventually we’ll have a Halo game with ALL armor, weapons and vehicle variants in one game. At least I hope so
I guess old one will feature the zoom in as opposed to the smart scope.

It’s a movement (or a hint) to bring back the classic Halo feel in the next Halo installment 
with classic weapons and stuff
