you know when you want to respawn at a armory or the spire or fortress and you instead spawn on some guy no where near where you want to go…yea thats the buddy system for you, i dont want to spawn on some guy in the middle of nowhere when my base is getting attacked and need to get there. why not have it like reach where IF YOU WANTED you could spawn on a teammate, not be forced to.
Its not a buddy system, when your base is getting attacked or if a boss is spawning, the game decides that you do not want to defend your base and you want to attack the boss that is already dead .

im calling it the buddy system because thats what it is because it does this even if your not getting attacked
Its not the buddy system, you only spawn near your base when the enemy team is attacking it or an enemy Spartan is near it. This is to make the game fair or no one would be able to capture a base because the defending team would be spawing directly into it.
