I didn’t know where else to present this issue but I thought this would work. I want to change the way matchmaking bans work and list reasons why the current banning system does not work. I want to start our by saying I understand why the ban system is implemented. It is there to prevent people from quitting on their teammates. When people leave the game, their teammates are st a serious disadvantage and will likely lose the match under most circumstances. However by that same logic if one of my teammates quits early or loss connection, I feel that I should nod be punished for not wanting to pay that much…simply give the other team the lid but don’t punish me for being leaned and not wanting my stats to be affected. Instead punish the guy that left first. And make it more severe. Take away a rank automatically. If they are a diamond 1…send them back to platinum 6…if they are constantly the first ones to quit. Secondly, the punishment for disconnection is tricky. I do understand they could rest a router, turn off their console, quit the game app, etc…and you have no way of understanding the intent of the disconnect…but defaulting to punishment is like saying you are guilty until proven innocent. I wrote this after being banned for a disconnect I did not initiate and the worse part was the match had just ended and I was still banned…for 42 minutes. I am a relatively new father and needles to say playing time can be hard to come by. Stopping me from playing does not prevent me from quitting. I will protect my stats from others quitting on me no matter what. Plus I am guilty myself…I will be the first to admit that I have quit on occasion. Usually due to poor matchups or poor teammates or if my friends hop online and send me an invite or if my wife and child need assistance

quitting in a team based game to not ruin your personal stats makes you a whinie little -Yoink- and you should get banned. permanently if I was in charge. and your stats aren’t even that good
So you’re saying players shouldn’t be banned but demoted for quitting out?
I don’t even care about stats anymore, you win some and lose some. Getting obsessed about stats and KD can make you second guess and even more sloppy and quit even more. It’s a vicious cycle. The mentality is don’t quit ever just take it. It’s a bad habit to get into.
If your team quits then the ban hammer should NOT affect you or rank.
If its 2v4 (which it is so many games) or 1v4, then those players with less teammates should be able to leave without any penalties…The ban hammer right now is completely flawed.
OR! Or… how about a loss brought about because of quitting teammates won’t count as a loss for the ones who stuck the game out?
