Hy, i dont know why the apps of spartan strike and spartan assault are not avariable in the app store and in the Play store too, bouth are incredible games and i cant find the games to buy , … whats the reason to shut down the apps ? Greetings .
Spartan games were never released on Android, which is a shame as that would have been cool.
For iOS though - there were some issues with the games crashing and failing to launch around iOS10 or 11 I think. Due to that they were pulled from the store until they could be fixed. The company that originally made those games, Vanguard games, merged with a company called Force Field and now develop VR games. With that change and release / support of Halo 5, the updates to MCC and the development of Halo Infinite, I’d guess the team just didn’t have the resources to get someone else involved to fix the issues. It may still happen, just probably not any time soon I’m afraid
Halo SA & SS are still available to buy on Microsoft store and to play on Windows 10 PC or Mobile. I was planning to buy a second hand Lumia phone off eBay but the internet has reviews that make me anxious buying the phone then wasting money if I can’t get all those Achievements, issues I read so far the battery sucks, touch screen response time bad, phone/battery gets hot fast and shuts you down mid game so you lose progress. You need a Microsoft phone that has Windows 10 on it and some Windows 8.1 can be upgraded to 10 via laptop, there’s more info on the internet and I’m not the best person to ask about technical stuff. It’s too much hassle for me just for those games but if you have PC or plan on owning a Windows 10 phone make sure it’s got W10 and good enough reviews so you have no issues playing on it.
Update: Brought a “Microsoft Lumia 550”, it works well and is 1 of the lower priced phones… perfect for only getting some halo cheevos! Got my Lumia 550 off eBay (grade A condition) refurbished… charger brought from separate seller and new. The games do crash more on Spartan Strike but it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. I recommend the Lumia 550! Be sure to check the condition and contact seller if you need more info. My achievements are hella delayed by days on this account not sure what the problem is but they should register at some point hopefully sooner than later. If you do play Spartan Assault on mobile and have completed it on Xbox 360/One or perhaps PC (if PC works)… your stats carry over and you must trigger the “Extra Credit” cheevo by changing “date & time” settings back to 2015 any date (I leave it as today’s date but in 2015)… boot up SA and click challenges, you just need to complete one of the three weekly challenges available! Then Extra Credit (Assault Ops) will pop up being completed. If you want a current time stamp as in the date your playing in 2020+… get to the point you’re only 1 game away from completing your weekly challenge to make your Assault op pop… on this last mission hit Pause then go into your Phone settings and change “date & time” back to “auto” now resume your game and complete the final match for weekly job done you have a current date time stamp for “Extra Credit” this trick works on PC version too from what I’m told. If you do not care much about the date you earned your Extra Credit cheevo you don’t need to pause the last match just earn it while your settings are in 2015 and it will pop but with a 2015 time stamp instead. Year 2014 instead of 2015 should also work to get the weekly challenges to appear.
