why do so many people hate reach ya armor lock was a bad idea but thats the only thing i dont like but ive put more hours into reach then any other game granted i started playing online with reach so i didnt get the glory days of h3 and h2 but ive played my fare share of 3 since and i like both of them equally i just dont get why so many people hate reach
It’s prob because the old days were a lot diff. Not just the game but the people and the level of players. Back in the H2 days people got hooked and it wasn’t every little kid with an xbox you know it became really competitive. H3 came a long an introduced a lot of upgrades that H2 really needed which was awesome but it also introduced a ton of players that previously hadn’t played and it caused some issues in its own right but both H2 and H3 were fairly similar in the mechanical way they played. Reach I think imo at least feels much much different from the previous iterations add in the fact that every kid has an xbox now and it becomes problematic because not only have the mechanics of the game changed but there are a bunch of people who dont really care about their team, playing style or Halo at all for that matter. BUT this is just kind of how I see it and my OP don’t really count for all that much hahaahah.
Forge in Reach was worse, Custom Games was worse, Matchmaking was worse, the campaign wasn’t satisfactory and, heck, even the Theatre was a disappointment, how is that possible?
It is one of my favourite games ever but just not on par with the other Halo games.
Nostalgia.
> Nostalgia.
Why do you all blame everything on nostalgia?
Like Neo Kaiser 0 said, it’s nostalgia. Complainers are going to complain and allow nostalgia to warp their view of the previous game. Halo 2 was the start of it there were problems such as with the magnum, them being nostalgic with how good it was in Halo 1. Or the fact that there was no longer any health packs in the game. Then Halo 3 comes out and then those same people think how “good” Halo 2 was with the ability to dual wield Needlers, or the ability for the rocket to lock onto ground vehicles. Then Halo Reach comes around and they now once again claim that Halo 3, with all it’s flaws that they complained about, is better than Halo Reach because health packs are back in the game, The ranking system is easier to rank up in (Which I am glad about. In Halo 3 you could get to around level 32 like I did, win 20 matches in a row and not rank up only to lose one and drop a rank.), or how equipment should have stayed instead of armor abilities. And I guarantee you, when Halo 4 is out, those same people will complain about how Halo Reach was better.
