Ok this game is practically dead. 343 won’t ever show player population for some odd reason. It takes 5-10 minutes to find a single game in almost all playlists. So why are there 12 playlists? There should be 5-6 max at this point in the game lifecycle so we can atleast find matches. I play against the same 8 people dang near every game in quickplay which shows me nobody is playing anymore. Why not just show us the population in the playlist or cut them down so we can find matches? There are so few of us left still supporting and playing this game. There really needs to be a change made so we can atleast get games. I just spent the last 30 mins searching in quickplay, slayer, halo 2 br, and swat. Couldn’t find a single game. Located in the US
Setting the search preference to expanded, I have no problems with Super Fiesta party, big team super fiesta, Slayer, heroic/mythic firefight and the rotationals in either social or ranked. Location is EU, playtime around evening-night CET.
I agree on that there are way too many playlists. I hope the match composer comes to Infinite and only a handful rotational dedicated lists.
I don’t have the same experience as you, I find games no problem and very quickly.
I’m sticking to featured social (h2 br slayer currently), fiesta, and firefight though, which I know 100% will be well populated at all times.
I can see the more conventional slayer modes and ranked playlists being an issue though. I would say a good chunk of who is still playing is simply maximizing XP to hit 152 at this point.

Most people play ranked I never have long wait times and it was 38th on the most played list yesterday. I’d imagine the playerbase is always between 7-15k that’s just a guess because ufc 3 usually has 9k on at certain times so halo 5 isn’t dead it’s just old!
Search in any of the ranked modes and you’ll find games very quickly especially slayer and swat.

I don’t have problems finding games at all. Try searching on expanded.

Yeah I searched slayer and didn’t find a game after 15 minutes so stopped. Always search expanded. Open Nat. Oh yeah, my gamertag I play on is TrUoK.
I haven’t had any problem finding games lately, but I always play at peak times and use Expanded. That said though, quality of matches has been getting worse - there’s a tremendous skill spectrum, and a lot of laggy matches for me.

Idk that’s weird I was champion in most playlists last season and was finding games quick and same this season even when I’m not placed in certain modes

Yeah I’ll search for 30 minutes fairly regularly just to fine one game. I do play in the evenings 8-10pm mountain standard time.
