Why so many H2 BR's?

Why have H2 BR’s outright replaced H5 BR’s in MM since their release? I honestly prefer not to use it… Idk, it feels a bit wonky to me.

The whole “nostalgia card” 343 is trying to play is a little played out by now… a really cheap way to try to appeal to old fans at this point. Like now we’re getting another Beam Rifle? Lame.

The H5 BR just has a notably better feel IMO and would prefer it on some of these new maps, like Molten, but from the looks of it, nopeeee!

to me the H2 BR feels right, there is less recoil than the H5 BR, it seems. As to why there are so many? well, people are just unlocking them finally.

I like the h2 br feel much better than the h5 br.

It just feels better. It performs exactly the same but actually feels like a sodding gun.

The Halo 5 BR is better to include because the H2 BR is a lot easier to use.

The only thing I prefer over the old BR to the new is the ability to have a silencer. To me, H2BR has better sound and general quality, though it does look weird in Halo 5.

HALO 2 BR V. HALO 5 BR:

The Halo 2 BR is not worse than the Halo 5 BR and it is not the same.

The Halo 2 Battle Rifle has:

-Higher aim assist
-Higher bullet magnetism
-Faster reload time
-Less bullet spread
-Faster scoping (no ads animation)
-Slower Time to Kill

^ now, the last one there is the only negative, but the five advantages above that are plenty enough to allow it to come out on top and, from my own experience, up against the Halo 5 BR’s faster kill time, pull off plenty of reversals < dude was even crouch-boppin’ like a fool.

I also have a big piping hot bowl of proof pudding here if anyone would like some: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG11BbBt05o

Lesson is: Learn it, Love it, it’s the better gun.

HOWEVER!!! I have to point out the irony here that Halo 2’s BR is the one with all the aim assist and bullet magnetism and Halo 5’s is the one that requires more skill. And it’s true with OG Halo 2 as well. That BR was dripping with bullet magnetism. But ask any diehard Halo 2 fan about that and they’ll probably slap you. lol

Halo 2 BR is better than any power weapon and any weapon Bungie or 343 created afterwards

Going old school… That’s why.

So many Halo 2/3 kids are just plain addicted to it that they have to have them everywhere or they go into BR withdrawal

feels better lol

bullet magnetism

IDK the real question is why are you so salty about it?

I would like the H5BR more if it sounded better, sounds like a nail gun to me and felt like it was actually firing three shots. Feels like a single shot weapon really.

Feels better, aka people just use it cuz it’s the easiest BR and has nostalgia. Seriously that bullet magnetism is ridiculous.

I prefer it* since it has a better crosshair, sounds more powerful, and also actually looks like a BR.

*=Halo 2 Battle Rifle.

The H2BR looks better, sounds better, has a better zoom view and gosh darn it, people like it!! It’s time to face facts here, More people like the H2BR for whatever reason, better then H5BR. How it plays, feels, sounds etc. It not having any ADS animation is also a big plus for people who aren’t ADS fans. I think 343I is finally realizing that it’s just more popular, plain and simple.

I for one wouldn’t miss the H5BR at all. 343I need to go back to that style of BR for Halo 6, with that style of zooming as well. I don’t care if they ADS style zooming in modes like warzone, but for ranked play, I think it’s pretty clear what people like more.

It’s straight out easier to use at 1st it was weird to get used to but once you are used to it.

The normal br takes a bit of effert to use but the h2 br takes little effort. I used it too much one day and was confused at how to use h5 br.

I find I go back and forth depending on the map and what’s happening. That said, sometimes I just play the H2BR because i really like the sound of it.

My biggest problem with it is that I seem to “over-aim” with it… the thing practically aims itself, so when I have to quickly react to someone getting the jump on me, my aim just slides over the enemy, like 75% of the time. It feels light as a feather, and the burst is very prolonged… the burst is more of a loose stream of bullets.

It just feels “all over the place.”
