Why so afraid of change?

“BACK TO THE ROOTS”
“OMG QUIT MAKING THESE CHANGES”
“WOW ALL THIS NEW STUFF IS UPSETTING ME FOR NO APPARENT REASON”

If you’re so afraid of change, then get into CoD, nothing will change there. Why would you want to buy a game that’s exactly like a game that was released years ago? I’m liking these changes, it’s fun, it’s new. I don’t want to buy the same game over and over again. 343i keep doing what you’re doing, the majority of Halo fans are happy with these changes I believe. Everyone I’ve talked to about Halo 4 loves all the new ideas you guys implemented into the game. Making multi-player tie in to campaign with the whole UNSC Infinity Combat Simulation is really going to immerse players strongly into the Halo universe.

If it’s the competitive elements that you’re concerned about (MLG), I’m sure all the AA’s and specializations that you deem OP will be banned from those playlists. Everything will be fine.

Honestly, there’s nothing to worry about. In the end, it’s just a game.

I agree, Reach is fun when you are a good player.

I agreed with what you said as well in your OP

Walker #1 likes cheesecake.
Walker #2 likes chocolate cake.
Walker #3 doesn’t like chocolate or cheesecake.

Walkers #1 and #2: “WHY ARE YOU AFRAID OF CHANGE WALKER NUMBER THREE?!?!??!”
Walker #3: “-_______-”

Being bad a game does not = not fun game

90% of this forum is considered bad to top level players(not me) and they find it fun somehow

Adding better tires to a car = good change.

Totally repainting a car a different color so people don’t confuse you with the previous owner, all in the name of progress and moving forward = stupid change.

You really are a lvl99Troll.
I can’t take this Thread seriously but all I’m going to say is; If I wanted to play a different game I would. Why change one series entirely into something it’s not.

This only works when Walker #3 insists that everyone stop eating chocolate and cheesecake to instead eat what he likes. The car analogy doesn’t work at all, snipe.

People are flaming users who don’t like the changes found in Halo 4 and scream stupid sayings like, “ADAPT!” and “WHY DON’T YOU LIKE CHANGE?”. It should be pretty obvious that such a thing called preferences exist in this universe. My analogy is quite fitting.

Some user my insist, but they’re only trying to preserve what they like in Halo in just the same way others, who love the changes, are trying to shape Halo into something they like.

Nobody is trying to make you guys stop playing games with “chocolate cake” or “cheesecake” in them, we just don’t want to have it in the game WE’RE playing that has never before had “chocolate” or “cheese”.

And the car analogy works just fine. Putting new tires on a car would be an improvement. Fixing something that doesn’t work by replacing it with something that does work.

Repainting a car so people know you aren’t the previous owner (which is analogously linked to 343 changing things willy-nilly, all in the name of progress and evolution, just so that they can change things about the series that they, and not necessarily most of the community, dislike and don’t think should be there), is a stupid idea because people are obviously going to realize that that’s why you’ve done it and, no matter how beautiful of a paint job you give it, people are going to wonder why this baby blue car is now scarlet red.

You guys have some terrible analogies.

Because the changes being made are making the game into COD. So there are no arena shooters left any more. Just lame class based shooters.

You say go play COD but that’s the issue here, we want to play Halo not another COD clone.

> You guys have some terrible analogies.

And you seem to like avoiding the addressing of opinions and ideas put forth in a discussion, but rather seem to enjoy going and berating people for the ways in which they attempt (and, subjectively, succeed) at conveying their ideas. Then, when that person explains to you exactly which points and ideas they meant to convey through their analogy, metaphor, simile, hyperbole, whatever, you proceed to continue to proclaim for your dislike of their creative language.

Learn how discussions work.

I’ll be spending a lot of my time in the classic part of the MP it seems.

Because once you take away all the gimmicks they are adding to Halo 4 it will probably be a damn good game, such a shame they feel they have to try and cater towards people who are already fixed playing COD, it won’t work.

I played it. Was good at it (Because it takes no skill). And hated it. Your point?

Halo 4 is looking like CoD

“Totally repainting a car a different color so people don’t confuse you with the previous owner, all in the name of progress and moving forward = stupid change.”

343i is not trying to change the game so they don’t get confused with Bungie you imbecile. You complain about me avoiding the addressing of opinions, yet you state facts that are false and absurd. Explain to me your reasoning, for until you do I’ll assume your IQ is below average.

Don’t mean to stat check, but your BPR is 57 and K/D is ~1.5…
Now, compare that to a 100 BPR with ~2.3 K/D like Legit Rawr over there…

Who sucks now?

I don’t like the fact that an arena shooter I’ve played for the last few years is all of a sudden turning into a class based one simply because it attracts a larger audience.

Isn’t the argument “dont like it go play CoD” extremely stupid when the main problem for people is fear of Halo 4 becoming Call of Duty 5: Space Station ?

That said, won’t pretty much every problem people have with the added no-skill factors be solved with proper game modes? Provided there’s enough pople playing those lists.
