To be honest, I was planning on buying the Legendary Edition for this game, but now that I found out there isn’t one and I’ve found out what comes with the Limited Edition, I’m just wondering why myself or anyone else would really want to buy the Limited Edition.
The Limited Edition essentially includes:
The Game ($60)
3 DLCs ($30) - which you recieve for free once they actually come out.
6 Specializations (Worthless, can probably be earned in game?) - Allow you to unlock customizations for your weapons.
Avatar Items (WHO CARES ABOUT AVATAR ITEMS XD)
Unique In-Game Weapon and Armor Skins - (Priceless? Hahaha) - Well this does confirm camos for guns essentially.
Exclusive Videos - (Uhh… depends on how much of a fan you are.)
So basically I’d be getting the game along with a lot of things most people don’t care about (other than the skins I guess.), and then have to wait for the DLCs to come out to really get my full deal out of the purchase. Can anyone give me any good reasons to actually buy limited edition instead of regular?
You forgot the Infinity book, by the way. Which looks awesome. I dunno, it all seems pretty great to me. I know I’m getting it

What is the Infinity Book? I didn’t hear about it from where I read about the Limited Edition.
I think the 90 min sort of movie thing and dlc maps are worth it at least to me they are.
There really is not a reason I can give you other than if you don’t want the limited edition don’t get it. If your that kind of person that wants bare minimum basics then go for standard if your like me and want the best edition of everything then buy it. ya know what I’m saying man?

I would’ve loved to get some sort of awesome statue or something, but I can’t see myself cherishing any in-game items that I had to pay extra money for.

bs angel sent me a Tweet today “We’re only talking about the Limited Edition today. And there’s physical content along with the digital content.” so there might be a possibility that there’s a LE or console.
Preordering Limited Edition as i did Halo Reach. 3 sets of map packs, + extended universe content and tons of other goodies? Halotastic. I think it’s strange that they will have a new skin colour for weapons like the Assault Rifle, unless they allow you to change it to look like the Halo 1, 3 or Reach versions.
I always buy a higher-tiered edition of each Halo. I never settle for just the regular.
Must be the inner nerd overcoming my frugality.

Yeah I see where you are coming from to tell you the truth I am relieved cause my xbox red ringed 3 days ago so I gotta buy a new xbox plus I am getting borderlands I am glad they don’t have a super $150 edition cause I would of had to get it lol but I see were you are coming from with the statue and stuff but in the bulletin it was stated that they will save that stuff for later titles.
This isn’t the first time Halo has included skins. Halo Wars had that honor guard Wraith and flame hog.
Nonetheless, if the AR skin appears in campaign, that may be enough to get me to get Limited Edition, though I highly doubt it.
Did 343 confirm that it’s not day 1 dlc?
Hmm, well I really like the idea of getting 3 future map packs and the steel case. 
Um Major if you dont like whats in this edition then why would you buy a legendary edition? There almost exactly the same. In reach they were almost the same except for maybe the flameing helmet and the statue

In game armor/gun camo = In game elite/flameing head
UNSC INFINITY = Halseys journal
Avatar gear = N/A
90 minute video = Statue
Map pack = N/A
6 specialization unlocks = N/A
(They said you will earn them in game but since u payed extra u get 6 right away(I recomend that we all unlock the br and dmr as the AR BR and DMR are a triangle and lose against each other at specific ranges.))

Well I mean I could care less about all the in-game stuff. As you probably know, I play a lot of Halo and could probably earn those 6 specializations easily. Avatar items… XD. The only way I’ll buy this is if the DLC turns out to be 1500 MS each, which I doubt it will be. That way at least I’ll be saving a few dollars.
