Shotgun lvl 1 over better
Scattershot destroys all.
I find the scattershot to actually be improved in this game.
Its not bad, people are bad at at using it
always use smartscope with scattershot.
Scatter and Camo on The Rig is deadly
Now scattershot on Warzone I wouldn’t recommend it
I agree with the others. It seems to be much better in this game.
The Scattershot is weaker than it was in Halo 4, and it’s also harder to hit people with it now. I’m in no way a fan of the weapons or the weapon balancing in this game
Anyone saying the scattershot isn’t worse than the shotgun or the halo 4 version hasn’t even used it. Unless it is different in arena (i’ve only used it in warzone), it is PAINFULLY worse. I know because i have both weapons’ commendations maxed out, and have compared both gun countless times. although it occasionally, randomly works at range, It has a slower rate of fire (MUCH slower than in halo 4) and has maybe 1/2 the range/damage. getting a one hit kill without being point blank is pretty much a rarity for it, where as in halo 4 it was better than the shotgun. it’s often even a 3-4 hit kill at a range a shotgun is only 1 or 2! the base shotgun in halo 5 is actually surprisingly good. especially compared to the scattershot.

Do you have to aim for the head with the shotgun? No.
Lets not even mention the Loathsome Thing…
I just tried using the Loathsome Thing a few times also and it has basically the same exact damage/range. How is it even classified as better?!? They need to patch this gun ASAP.
Also LOL to the guy who just said you’re supposed to aim for the head with a shotgun. You try to get headshots with the rocket launcher too?

The ‘funny’ thing is, I hardly see anyone using the scattershot in arena anymore! Its that bad!
I really wish it functioned like a less powerful version of Didact’s Signet. Essentially giving the projectiles slight tracking so you could get those off-wall kills! I mean, thats suppose to be the cool feature of the gun but its not because it simply can’t be used!!! That’s a gripe I’ve had with the scattershot since its first inclusion but now that the scattershot is an underwhelming weapon it especially bugs me. A lot of the forerunner weapons were given tracking so why not give the scattershot tracking once the projectiles bounce off something?

Completely agree, theres so many times in Warzone where i’ve hit them point blank and only popped their shields. Shotgun is WAY better than Scattergun.

It’s only difference is that it carries twice the rounds per load and has a slightly faster fire rate. Otherwise just about as useless as the regular version
I don’t like it either…for some reason it feels so snatchy
Seems very inconsistent to me, some times a point blank shot does nothing, others it bounces about 53,900 times around corners and hit an enemy once on the other side of the map and kills them, strange weapon.
I said it before and I’ll say it again! scattershot is epic!
It is only usable if you are defending a capture point I think
