Why say the H5 Beta is dead?

I’ve been seeing a lot of claims around the forums saying things along the lines of “The Beta is Dead”. My question is,

How do you know this to be true and if so could you show me where I can find such factual information?

Its just the usual hyperbole thrown around the forums, which people like to do to try validate there own opinions…omg the population has died since br starts…i want ar starts wahhhh

To my knowledge there are no hard numbers to show player counts. What most people are deriving their conclusions from are their friends list. People who used to play Halo tried the beta, and then went back to other games is what they’re saying.

Personally I find the primary cause of the drop in players with this beta is the bad matchmaking. I have an average search time of 4 mins, sometimes longer, and it’s way worse in a party. And Halo is a game you really need to play with friends.

it’s not dead by any means… but the player pop is def dying down, not due to bad game, or whatever, but bc it’s boring… how long can you play slayer on 2 maps before you want to play something else… noone is sitting here playing the beta allll day long, well at least i’m not. ill play a couple games of each game type they have, get bored and move on to something else…

the population is also now spread between 3 separate playlists and not just 1 like at the beginning

There aren’t any numbers. It’s guesswork. Search times are pretty much the same for me, though, so I wouldn’t say it was. Loving Strongholds, despite the lack of maps and only being bronze 3…

Alot of it is BR starts too. I was having a blast with ARs and I normally hate them. But it allowed the movement system to shine and no one game was like another. With BRs however, you get stuck in the same two position around a map. Not good for replay value.

Even though its just territories.

But I agree its much better than just a slayer playlist. I feel like ill be playing objective gametypes alot in H5.

CTF is all I played in H4 unless I had a party going.

The other Halos I played nothing but slayer.

Some actual numbers to how many people are player a particular game mode would be nice in the final version.

Halo 4 did this?.. One of the past Halos had done this. Titanfall did a great job of this also, each game mode shows exactly how many players are in that mode. Good information as no one wants to start up a mode and have no one there to play with/against.
