i signed up for the halo insider around 2 days ago when the h3 odst flight rolled around, at the time no one got the code aside for one of my friends, fast forward 3 days later still not many people get the code, i know its a slow process and the people at 343i are hard at work during this time, but is this a smaller flight than others?
edit: i do understand because i signed up doesnt mean im guarenteed to get the flight, im just wondering whats going on bc not many people seem to get it
Over 100k people were invited to this flight over the last 2 days. That you’re not seeing many people you know get an invite is really just coincidence

Signing up after the fact isn’t going to get you into the Flight. People have been waiting to get in who signed up a year ago. It is completely random though who gets picked. 343 chooses pools of players based off their system specs, and what the requirements are of the flight, plus the platform they play on. Rumors suggest that playing in past flights actively can help you stand out a bit more, as well as logging tickets for encountered bugs, but 343 never came out and said the exact criteria they use for choosing candidates.

My invite took 24 hours to arrive after the start time, and another 3-4 hours after getting invited to be able to play as there was a bug with some of the Xbox invites, and they needed to re-process all of the invites.

Then something is very wrong. It’s very difficult to get into any matches to the point where I’m seeing big names in the Halo community commenting on it, and a lot of people who participated in previous flights not getting invited back in this one.
Is this 100k spread across Xbox and PC, or both receiving 100k each? Because that would be a pretty significant difference.

Participating in the previous flights doesn’t mean there is a guarantee of getting into others. Also, stckerboy said 100,000 were invited. That doesn’t necessarily mean each and everyone of those 100,000 are playing.

I’m aware, how does this in any way contradict what I said?

Another 100,000 invites have just gone out to help out with getting more involved. Stay tuned to Waypoint for the next few hours to see if you got one!

It doesn’t. I’m providing a possible explanation as to why it may be difficult to get to matches and why everyone who participated in the previous flights didn’t get picked for this one.
