Why ProV, stalker, radar, and camo suck

Any way you look at it, these are all crutches for noobs due to one thing. They provide knowledge that recently took skill to aquire.

ProV, stalker, and radar all tell you where your opponent is. Without these you have to know where they spawned, accessible routes, thinking patterns, ETAs, motivations, and so many more to deduce where an enemy is located. Now all you have to do is press X or look at a circle.

Camo makes you better at being sneaky. Used to in halo 1-3, a player could be defined by a few skills assets, sneakiness being very prized. It took alot of skill to avoid detection. Now camo does 90% of the job for you cuz some noob knows how to press X.

This probably applies to a few others, but i dont know enough about them yet.

Anyway you look at it, these are YOUR opinions.

This is the pompus arrogance that is ruining Halo now. Complainers want Halo 2.2 instead of Halo 4, lol.

Except my points arent oppinions, only my title is. And all my title states oppinion wise is a game purposely made easier for noobs is bad.

I like how i prove to you how something is bad, and you throw the previous halo.2 at me, which is dumb because if i wanted that id go play that.

I dont accept every change blindly like you cuz i actually have a brain and taste

Points? You’re just ranting about additions within the game that give noobs AND everyone else(you included) new mechanics to use in-game.

It’s not accepting it blindly. It’s accepting it because it is what it is.

I threw Halo 2.1 in your face because you opened that door.

Your points really are fairly biased. Also, son’t think about noobs vs good players. Think more about how these abilities will play when good players play good players. They will all be useful and counterable and probably quite fluid. I’m still gunna beat every garbage lid whether he sees me through a wall or not… Because i know he is able to do these things.(imo) i’m not worried about it. As long as ppl don’t fly above the whole map or go str8 invincible for several seconds.

Wait for the game, then judge it.

> Wait for the game, then judge it.

Why? I already know what they do. They provide you with information, information that is given to you freely rather than requiring skill to aquire.

> Your points really are fairly biased. Also, son’t think about noobs vs good players. Think more about how these abilities will play when good players play good players. It doesnt matter how they are used, it simply does a job for them that previously required skill.

Its that simple, dont know why people keep changing topics.

Dude, don’t rise to it. He is trying to annoy you.

Oh and OP I draw the line at radar. Radar has always been in Halo and it has become another skill to learn, just like learning to land headshots or learning how to perform a crisp strafe. Saying that Halo should not have radar is your opinion do not force others to bow to your opinion on the basis that you have a ‘superior brain and taste’. MLG was created to cater your opinion and classic is for those who dislike AA.

I expect this thread to become blocked and you to become banned unless you change some of your offensive comments. Everyone is allowed an opinion provided that they state it in a reasonable and non-offensive manor.

Of course it’s his opinions are you slow? And he is right halo is becomeing more casual or even more below casual.

How am i trying to annoy him? They are valid points.

Radar has always been in halo? Thats cool i guess. Is radar good? Yes in some places in my oppinion.

Whats NOT my oppinion though is that it makes locating an enemy easier for people who cant keep up with map awareness.

Their oppinions are fine, and im sure i will like these aspects in some way. Im super excited to use ProV against invisible zombies in customs. That doesnt change the fact that they make the game easier though.

Good players will always be good players.

Bad players will always be bad players. (Until they actually take the time to be good.)

It does not matter if the bad players get all these crutches because in the end, the good players will ALWAYS utilize the crutches far more effectively than bad players.

I honestly don’t get why people like you complain about these kinds of things.

How? It provides less and less advantage the better a player becomes. If i was good at knowing an enemies thought patterns and good knowledge of the map, i would find a radar less useful than someone completely new to a map.

His lack of knowledge is put aside due to the crutch of a radar/proV.

If what you said was true, why cant we apply it to things like armorlock then? Theres a reason infinite rockets with armorlock wouldnt be a very skillful playlist, its because some things are require less skill than others, thats it.

I totally agree with you and that’s why they won’t be in the MLG playlist.

But, there’s no need in this thread. Radar needs to be in as it’s a Halo custom. Camo has always been there (hate the AAs not the camo). ProV and Stalker, well, they’re just naff.

You need these in to satisfy the casuals. Without the casuals the competitives wouldn’t exist so be grateful that they’re here and after all you’re going to get what you want removed in the MLG playlist.

Ummm no you wouldn’t. You would actually still use the radar to determine if the player is below, above, or on the same level as you because you would utilize every mechanic to it’s full potential to succeed in winning that game.

Good players will always come out on top regardless if bad players have “crutches” for their own use. That’s just the way it is and has always been. There is a reason why we don’t have an armorlock and infinite rocket playlist because quite simply, it is a stupid idea in the first place.

Precisely my opinion.

How are you annoying him? You just stated that he has no taste in games and no brain! But it appears you have changed this which is a start at least.

And yes radar is in most ways and crutch however it is balanced by the fact that everybody has one unlike AA which range from player to player. This makes them unbalanced and creates the ‘rock/paper/scissors’ Halo. But seeing as we do not yet know how big the classic playlist will be I will hold back my criticism for Halo in respect to AA and Infinity playlists.

But as I have stated, your opinion has been heard by the MLG community and they have made a gametype with no AA or radar and seeing as MLG is a minority I do not expect 343 to change any other core Halo aspects such as radar.

They can stay, i would hate MM without radar. Its just not skillful, and shouldnt be put in most “competive” playlists.

Well it won’t be so don’t worry.

Your aknowledgement is all i need. Also keep in mind just because 2 people have an unskillful addition doesnt magically make it skillful. I could play team rockets, in which both people have rockets, but it wouldnt be as skillful as regular team slayer.
