Why Pre-order?

Aside from getting bonuses, what are the pluses of pre-ordering a game? It’s not likely they will run out of the game at midnight launch, and often times people don’t even pick up their pre-orders on launch day. There are usually big sales on games a week or two after they come out. So why pre-order?

Mainly for the bonuses, and just in case they do run out, you’re guaranteed a copy.

Guarantees your copy will be there on release.

I like to pre order in order to guarantee a copy of the Limited Edition. In my area when Halo 3, Reach, and MW3 were released several stores ran out of copies and several of my friends had to wait for a while to get a copy.

If you’re planning on getting the game release day…what downside is there to preordering? Better safe than sorry.

It’s either for the bonuses (which Team Fortress 2 uses for other games to get it’s fanbase to pre-order games for weapons and hats in TF2), or so you can have your copy ready for pick up. I pre-ordered the LE edition from Best Buy’s website so I’ll receive it in the mail on 11/6/12.

So I get it deliverd at my house in the morning at release date?
