As sad as it sounds it makes sense. Playable Elites have always played a large role in the reception of Halo Multiplayer. But what I’ve noticed is that all the participating games with that feature have campaign putting emphasis on the elites. Thus making them relevant. But lately we’ve seen that with the exception of the poorly written boss Jega Rdomnai, there hasn’t been nearly as much emphasis put into Elites as previous games. If there were to be a playable species option in the future, I’d place my bet on the Brutes. Logically it makes sense: this game focuses on surviving UNSC and an alien faction made up of Brutes. The emphasis is only really on the Brutes in Halo Infinite. Before Halo Infinite it made sense to have playable Sangheli because the antagonist faction was pro-Elite. But as we’ve seen in Halo Infinite, the Brutes are the poster boy of the Banished. See, it’s all about the relevance of the species or characters in the game. If I had it my way, we’d have Customizable Grunts as an Armor Core for Halo Infinite Multiplayer.
Although I could be wrong, it would make sense if they did Brutes instead, if at all.

He had sooo much potential and they killed him off in 1 small boss fight. He had barely any character development and a handful of lines. There was no sign of him tracking you through campaign at all, contrary to escharum’s clear directive.
My spartan can hardly get cover in infinite. A brute would stand no chance.
amen. I didn’t like that they used huge elites for Halo 2A either. Does the same thing. I wish they used the normal elites.
True. But I don’t think he’s dead. His body, unlike all the other bosses, disappeared after the fight.
People keep saying that, but his staple attribute was his cloaking ability. My guess is that it’s just a cool little thing 343 added. It could be possible that he’d make an appearance in a future DLC, but I wouldn’t count on it. 343 has a habit of screwing up redeeming plot lines
Grunts have been featured in every halo game so far. I don’t get why we don’t have playable grunts yet
I dont agree with the Spartan cores as it all should have been put all together. The cores should have been Spartans, Elites and Brutes.
I think they’re trying to make different armor cores for different generations of armor. So like in season 2 we could get a Mark V core and whatnot
