Why people treat spriting as the spawn of satan?

After so many posts i didn’t managed to understand why people are hating sprint so much. Sure, there are some of the penalities like shield recharging, but there’s nothing that breaks the game while spriting. In fact, most of the time i don’t sprint at all because this gives the possibility for recharging shields and avoiding being detected in the map which guarantee kills most of the times and avoid deaths by backstabbing.

But lately i saw so many complains about armor habilities (which are kinda true, but it’s not the topic) and the spriting, that is receiving so much hate from the community that it seems Satan himself decided to incarnate inside Halo 5 in the form of sprinting.

It makes the game very passive in nature because you can’t push somebody who’s out of position with the guarantee of a kill.

I mean I like it. We’re Spartans, afterall.

It’s just balancing it out, and they’re trying to.

Is Sprinting not the spawn of satan? Was I misinformed? I thought this was Halo 5, I mean Hell. I’m sorry I thought this Hell… Isn’t this Hell? I’m sorry I thought this was Hell.

Well, Spartans in the comics and books run faster while wearing it.sooo…

To people keep saying oh in the story/ comic/books they run and do all these fancy tricks… Yeah in lore they do, but what works in lore and in actual in gameplay are two very different things.

Though I’m not against sprint per se,but it does allow for enemies to escape death without any risk. In previous non sprint Halos if you cornered a person into a base or corner, theres no way to run out, the only way to get out is to, walk out and engage in close encounter battle.

Truth is huge in comparison to the Heretic and Midship I was told sprinting didn’t stretch maps. It’s ok though because now the AR is stronger and has a long reach to compensate for this. No one on these forums saw this coming so how could 343i.

Without any risk? Unless it’s 1V1 its all risk the giant risk of bumping into his teammate still with the same amount of shield you had when you started running but this time with your gun down. That’s my biggest cringe moment about sprint is if I don’t finish my kill it ends into an assist. Even more so with the window you have to stop sprint unless they caught you reloading you should not miss that window

Delayed Double Post.

You don’t like getting assists? They help the team out.
