There is nothing more annoying than going into a tea objective game on your own to be teamed up with 4 random players, obviously none of whom have mic’s and are all on their own against a group of 5 players all in party chat.
I just don’t see the logic behind this matching algorithm? Surely all players involved would happily wait 30 seconds longer so that groups can be paired up vs other groups instead of singles vs groups?
You could even do:
5 players vs 5 players
3 players + 2 players vs 5 players
4 players + 1 player vs 5 players
2 players + 2 player + 1 player vs 5 players
2 players + 1 player + 1 player + 1 player vs 5 players
all before it get’s to the point of it having to be:
1 player + 1 player + 1 player + 1 player + 1 player vs 5 players
and don’t get me started on guests in regular matchmaking … !!
It’s never was this bad in Halo 2 or Halo 3 … seems to just be the typical Reach -Yoink- that we have to contend with.
Why? So that my friends and I can seriously beat up the random groups. Serves them right for solo-ing in a team-oriented game. Should be lesson learned, right?
> Are you not good enough to be another fixed group then?
Heck, I’m not great. Barely good. BUT I’m a team player (watch out for teammates and communicate well) and play with friends always, many of whom ARE really good. We play together well and crank out a lot of wins. That’s the point.
> Are you not good enough to be another fixed group then?
I’m too shy to ask those icky boys on mics out.
OT: It really is screwed that solo people get paired up against premades. If people want to search as a group, they should be matched against another group. It makes as much sense as matching up a group of Halo 3 50s against ransoms who haven’t even touched ranked. It’s that -Yoinking!- simple.
When a team of 5 finds 5 solo players, 99% of the time it’s not going to end well for the 5 solo’s.
If 343 could implement a similair system that USED to be in BTB, it might solve that issue, but I believe that the system for parties finding other parties got left behind in the last update, but I could be wrong.
