…I think if every spec in the game were 50 levels the lvling system would be more interesting.
I’m not complaining about the max lvl cap being only 130, but I guess we dont want a max level that everybody can achieve. In halo 3 for example, even never being able to reach HS 50 it was good to have something to fight for.
When you see a HS50 on H3 you think “this guy must be a very good player”
now on H4 when you see a SR130 you think “this guy really like spartan ops and mountain dew”.
The ranking system is really coming to H4 or is it just a rumor?
Agreed, H3 as well as H2, brought with them a ranking system that not only made Match Making exciting, it made it competitive. The idea of losing your coveted 48 or 50 in ‘X’ playlist made it that much more…intense to play. Granted that is why Bungie had both a social realm and a ranked playlist so people could casually play or play-play.
The TU in January will be bringing a ranking system somewhat to the table but it will not be visible in game. To view your Spartan’s rank in a playlist you have to log on to Halo Waypoint and look at your number…this is down right BS. If you’re going to make this system work and spend so much time on it then for God’s sake put in the game so I don’t have to go check on it like it’s my bank statement after every match.
Just my 2 cents
The difference between the two systems is the key.
Too long in an experience-based system and it’s an unnecessary grind, and that length creates separation worth just as little as it is now.
No need to increase the leveling schedule because it doesn’t actually do anything beneficial.
