Why one Pulse Grenade?

Seriously, why? I heard they used to be really good, so good we got stuck with one. Then it -Yoink!- neefed anyway but is still at one. I kind of like them but frags are almost aleays better when you eanna finaih someone, and stickies are really good in this game. They completely overshadow pulses. Am I missing something?

Stickies and Pulse should both be a single grenade start. Especially Stickies. Frags don’t annihilate vehicles really fast. Stickies and Pulse do.

I wondered the same exact thing yesterday as well as why the sticky grenade doesn’t get the same treatment. My only guess is too many of them on the map at a time slows down the frame rate and game. They definitely are not as good as stickies.

I have 2 kills and 5 deaths from pulse grenades over the course of 400 matches…

Not exactly the most deadly threat in the game.

Both my friend and I are on Tier 3 for Pulse grenade kills.

Consider that they explode IMMEDIATELY. Other grenades bounce or delay first. They’re a perfect counter to a hardlight shield, and reasonably useful for getting out of a tight situation. (Most people wouldn’t chance running through one)

While I’d still rather frags in most situations. Pulse grenades are a bit underrated.

If you know how to use them right. I’m working on Expert right now. I’ve even had them as my Tool of Destruction before (with 6 kills). They’re really good for finishing off weak enemies. If you use them for KotH with Explosives and Grenadier, they’re really useful!

lol who uses hard light shield? What with the movement delay after you take it down its pretty much useless.

People that don’t like to use camo on btb maps…

Somebody is a close-minded player.

Besides, you only countered one point. Learn the timing for dropping it. You can strike right away. Don’t believe me? It’s possible. I don’t use it. But a bro I play with counters the boltshot quite well with it.

Seriously try everything out in this game. You’ll be surprised.

Nobody uses pulse grenades except prometheans in campaign, where they can spit out a dozen in an area and make anything inside it melt.

Well, since it seems only 2-3 of us are able to even utilize this game tool properly. I’ll be sure to sport the forerunner loadout armor. Since NOBODY will have it.

Honestly i feel the problem here is much more then just 1 pulse grenade, i think we need to have some of the class Halo playlists were everyone starts off with the same weapons and loadouts. Plasma Pistols and Plasma Grenades allow you to take out vehicles very quickly and the boltshot is a one kit kill from close range. I really don’t see anyone using the old pistol sidearm anymore.

Only one makes sense because in objective games these nades can perma block your way to the objective (especially in KotH) and if a whole team using these things smart they reeeeeally can be a pain in the -Yoink-. The nades were designed for it, a mini power drainer if you want. 2 would be too much. 1 nade seems pointless at first in some other playlists but in objective games they are my first choice.

Only thing 343 needs to do is reduce plasmas to one. I mean, you can already spawn with a PP to defend yourself against tanks, Hogs, ghosts etc. It really breaks vehicle based maps.

Pulse grenades are underused and underrated. I agree that only getting one is frustrating, but with 2 each, a coordinated team could literally build impassable walls of radiation around their King/Flag/Hill.
