We had this beautiful feature that allowed us to give feedback and play test early builds of the game that I feel like could really be utilized to help fix the issues with BTB and desync.
343 released a patch today to attempt to fix BTB and unfortunately it didn’t work, and if they gave that patch out early to the Insiders then they would have known way sooner. We’re going on the second month of BTB being broken and I feel like they could really use the help that a bunch of passionate Halo players are willing to give. Instead we have a PC flighting page that hasn’t loaded since launch.
Maybe I’m misinformed and involving Insiders would do nothing but it is frustrating being a Halo fanboy through and through and seeing an amazing base game be plagued by issues that should be able to be fixed on a quicker timeline.
I hope that Insiders are able to assist on getting this game on the right track now that the Holiday season is over. 2022 should be the year of Halo.
I’m both a Windows and Xbox Insider, as well as a Halo Insider.
It could totally be done having insiders that test new features alongside the full release, though I think now that the game is already out it would be difficult to implement a test version.
Not impossible however.
Now,
As a Halo Insider I can also tell you that it wouldn’t help.
Why?
Because I partook in every Halo Flighting, just as many others did, and we were very vocal about what worked and what didn’t. A LOT of our feedback were either outright ignored, not communicated or simply brushed off because we apparently didn’t understand their vision with the game and that it would work better on release.
Release came, they realised that the majority of the playerbase shared our opinions on the matters and are now struggling to remedy the situation.
So while I support the idea of getting Halo Insider back on Infinite, I’m afraid I don’t expect it to help.
