Since we have to install the multiplayer disc anyways, why not put in a third disc with even more content? Then we could have the Mark V that everyone wants, plus some other stuff, like more maps or something.
Because you’d have less to add later and S.OPS is DLC.
Why not go all ‘lost odyssey’ and just chuck in 4 disc’s?
Because 343 is still a company, one owned under Microsoft to boot. They are still concerned about profits. I’m no marketing expert, but continuing development would’ve been unprofitable.
Why not 10 discs with all re-imaged halo’s with the Halo 4 engine and Skyrim with all DLC, combined with all batman games…

Awesome IDEA!
Yes! That the best idea ever! Another full disk for 2-3 maps and 2 sets of armor! Now we must instal more!!!
/sarcasm
That may have been a tad extream but, you asked for it Lol the armor isn’t coming back so let it go lol
Because discs cost money.
If 343 -Yoink- 10 million copies of Halo 4, that would be 20 million disc, and if they did what Op wants, that would be an extra 10 million discs.
More discs = Higher production cost
Higher cost = Higher retail price
Higher retail price = Less sales
Less sales = Microsoft shuts Halo down
Then we’ll all point the finger at yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
High production costs won’t make the game cost more for consumers. Every company should know that players are already hesitant to buy a $60 game as it is.
There needs to be a cut off point. Like everyone here is joking about, if that sort of logic is used, the game minus well be in development for 10 years and come on 8 discs.
That comment about them cutting off development at the right time to maximize profit because 343 is under Microsoft doesn’t even make sense. No developer is going to continue to work on their game past the point where they think it’s worth to. Not just MS.
