Why isn’t there just a way to map your own controls on Halo 4? I don’t see a satisfying layout =/
I’d like to be able to use bumper jumper but not have to deal with the awkwardness of clawing to sprint fluidly. Optimally you’d be able to use every important ability without moving your fingers off of the joysticks - unfortunately there aren’t enough buttons on an xbox 360 controller.
Get a Razer Onza. It has two extra buttons (above RB/LB) that you can remap to. I have the left remap button as X (AA) and the right as the back button.
The controller itself is really nice. It has a rubbery finish to it which feels really nice.

Honestly I only use the remap button when I’m using the Jetpack, which I’m assuming won’t be in MLG (I don’t think they use any AAs, right?) so why do you need to claw with bumper jumper?

You can’t use non-microsoft controllers in MLG tournaments. You would have to claw to sprint cleanly with bumper jumper because on that layout they moved crouch back to its original position, “left thumb-stick”, and spring to “a”. The armor ability key is also moved to “x” which is inconvenient also.

I don’t understand why you need to claw to sprint though.
From what I understand, the purpose of clawing is to keep your thumb on the right thumbstick so you can aim quickly if needed. But if you’re taking it off to press sprint, it doesn’t really matter because it takes a while to get out of sprint to move freely again so it seems kinda pointless to claw.
BravoMLG has had some feedback on the Recon layout via his channel, and I hope to spread the word that there are clearly a lot of people who would prefer it to be updated with a minor change.
