I was hoping the waypoint bulletin would have those changes rolling out in a week, but a month? Come on.
Rather than do balancing behind closed doors with ‘select’ members, put the changes in a playlist. People will flock back to see what the weapons do, why not give them a few weeks of hype?
You’d have all sorts of data, it would be better data since it would account for JiP and internet connections, and it would give a sense of outreach on behalf of 343.
If you want a community, involve the community. I would absolutely play a playtest playlist.
Also, would it kill you guys to make a slayer dlc playlist? I miss the majestic maps.
This is actually a good idea.
This will give us the ability to discern which weapons may have been tweaked improperly for ourselves and negate problems that may occur if no testing takes place.
I recall my favourite playlist in Reach being Zero Bloom Slayer testing, because it mixed the new and old settings for if I didn’t want to play MLG.
I would be all for this. It would give us the opportunity to try out the changes for ourselves before they are final, and maybe give some feedback for it before the finished product is released.
1000 people playing constantly is far more testing than 343i will ever be able to do, even if not all understand everything.

All these changes aren’t even final, one day they could be testing a 4SK BR, the next they could be testing a 2SK BR, and updates only ever go out weekly, meaning if they want accurate results on their new tweaks on the test playlist, they will have to wait an entire week before they can begin that and likely push back the release for these changes globally.
They can roll out changes whenever they want. They could They also tailor each specific game mode to a different tweak and have those in the voting.
Players know what they’re getting into when they play the list. If something is different, awesome. There doesn’t need to be a grand announcement about it.
given how broad and drastic the changes are, why not include the whole community? We’ve been beta testing the game for 6 months, why stop now?
