With it now being nearly 9 am, it’s got me worried about my time to play. Most, if not all of us, have to work, and a few have poor connection. Why not schedule the flight at a time that considers these situations? It just seems like they rushed this out without thinking.
last last minute bug fixes perhaps. but yea it is weird there was no preload for it.
The entire lead up to Halo Infinite and the technical preview have not been rushed.
I also think that letting us install it ahead of time would be way better, my internet isn’t great and games with 25+ GB take more than half a day to install, who know how big Halo Infinite is going to be…
My only guess is they want to “stress test” every aspect of the game. Including the initial download from the servers.
I feel pretty fortunate to have decent internet so downloading shouldn’t be an issue, but I feel for the people who have bad internet speeds, that’s gonna take a while to download.
I’m kind of thinking this is ahead of time. This technical review is for the weekend. Today is Thursday. So not really the weekend. So they are giving you over 12hrs to have it downloaded before Friday.
This is just my opinion though.

Yeah. But it does help cut down on alot of the trolls and bots that’s for sure.

Highly doubt that. 12/30 isn’t considered a holiday release window. That’s after all the holidays. Lol
microsoft store uses that date as a filler

Given that servers often crash when everybody rushes to play at the first minute of release, it’s likely intentional that they release at times and on days when a significant percentage of the player base is unable to log on.
