Not every f2p today needs it. Heck, it wasn’t a thing before Dota 2. Please get rid of the pass feature.

You know that’s never going to happen. 343 won’t even bat an eye at this suggestion. The Battle Pass is like 50% of their income. They need to make at least 1 billion dollars within 10 years and they’re gonna nickel dime us as much as possible

It never should have been implemented in the first place. They could have easily set up the Anniversary items as a free BP to test the waters before releasing the HoR Pass.
They already had this last event in the works, so it couldn’t have been that hard to implement for this “Beta” period. They would have still gotten the same amount of feedback with a free “Anniversary Pass” and the Tenrai event, and bypassed the monetization complaints. This was just lack of foresight, and honestly it’s a ridiculous move on their part to release the full battle pass this soon. They ruined what could have been a really great early release, by muddying their messaging, and now they come off as greedy and shady.
They Botched this.

That is never going to happen at this point. They will likely modify future battlepasses based on feedback from this 1st one, putting less XP boosts and challenge swaps in and putting more cosmetic items into both the free and paid tracks on season 2 onward.

that would never happen the only thing that might happen is less boost and swaps in future passes and more armor unlocks
Any substantial changes to the battlepass system would occur after the first season, before any future promises are cemented.
Especially if it concerns price or value.
Then how will Bill Gates have smoke blown up his hole for donating 100Gs to charity after making another xBillions
