FFA is one of my favourite game modes as I don’t need to rely on my team, I’m quite annoyed that it apparently isn’t possible to have Rumble Pit as it was before AND the Global Championships playlist. Every time I play the Global Championship I lose because the 2 other players above me get more kills of the bad players. I didn’t have that problem in Rumble Pit as I had a CSR of 48 so there weren’t many bad players. I really don’t see why both playlists can’t exist.
Oh, and on the topic of playlists, please make some -Yoink!- DLC required playlists already! Make Big Team Skirmish require DLC to play or something, then the people who bought the maps could actually play them. Skirmish doesn’t have that big of a population so it would make sense. Also of they added Slayer into the rotations then I’d be quite happy. Another playlist for the smaller maps would be nice as well, but I somehow imagine thats too much to ask for.
Having two FFA playlists would be highly redundant, hence why it was removed temporarily until the Global Championships ended.
Your excuse of “I lose because the 2 other players above me get more kills of the bad players.” makes no sense. Surely you should be beating a lot of players at lower CSR ranks in the Global Championship playlist if you’re meant to be a 48 in Rumble Pit.
Regardless, it’ll be back when the online qualifiers are complete.
As for DLC required playlists, no no no. Skirmish is already a redundant playlist (it should have been merged with BTIS from the get-go), making it DLC required would just remove a good chunk of players from there entirely.
Halo: Reach had a fine example of DLC required playlists being a bad idea when a lot of people don’t own the DLC. When BTB Heavies was added to Matchmaking, they accidentally made Big Team Battle DLC required, and the players dropped from it’s usual number, all the way down to 2,000 or less. It was a huge player drop and it’ll be even worse in Halo 4 considering less people play this game than Halo: Reach.
Agree entirely on adding Slayer to Skirmish. Simply merge it with BTIS, rename the playlist to Big Team Battle and bam, problem solved.

Why did we have two SWAT playlists if it is redundant?
