GTA V has it. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, HD has it. Why not Halo 5?
I’m talking, of course, about the ability to take selfies during the game. What better way to preserve all those crucial and on-the-spot moments than pulling out your high tech camera and quickly snapping a photograph of yourself as proof that yes, you were there, you did do that.
And let’s not forget all the really neat achievements that could be implemented with the introduction of selfies!
Selfception - Take a screenshot of yourself taking a selfie in matchmaking. Look at Me Go - Take a selfie while capturing the flag in a matchmade CTF game. Say Cheese! - Take a selfie photobombing an active assassination. Photo Blog - Create a scrapbook of selfies taken during the campaign. Must contain at least one selfie per mission.
Just imagine being able to snap that selfie and, using Smart Glass, sending it to yourself instantly to share with your friends on facebook, twitter, Waypoint, etc. The possibilities are endless and the future is now. Halo 5 should seize the day and embrace the future fully and let us take selfies in game.
I agree with what you’re saying, however, witnessing the word “selfie” over and over again really rustled my jimmies. The words “self photo” would suffice.
“selfie” is right up there with “swag” and “yolo” in the list of words that make me want to bash my head repeatedly against a wall.
I’m slightly offended by the fact that you find “YOLO” to be so annoying. It’s the motto we live and die by on Team Food Fight and when asked why we did anything, YOLO is a perfectly acceptable reason and is accepted without complaint.
As for the issue at hand, I did a little more thinking and realize I am a ditz. I cannot believe I totally forgot about the fact that Halo has vehicles! What could be more fun than going on a joyride with your battle buddy and just leaning over for a quick selfie of your adventure?? Better hope the driver has good control of the vehicle but selfies only take a couple seconds anyways. Or on the Mongoose even. That’d be the perfect vehicle to pull of a drive by selfie photobomb. That’d make an awesome achievement too!
Look Ma, No Hands! - Take 5 selfies photobombing the other team while on the back of a mongoose in one game.

Unless you mean something else all i see that you are asking for is to be able to take pictures which forge he have been able to do since Halo 3. It also seems like something that would ruin Halo rep by many.
Well, Gat wouldn’t let people be able to instantly bomb social media sites with their halo pictures annoying all of their friends. Gat wouldn’t dare to think of a Spartan or Elite stopping in the middle of a matchmaking game to take a pictures and have some goddamned waffles. He’d tell your as to just go back in Theater and -Yoinking!- do that -Yoink- on your own time. Instead of ruining MP or any other situation for the other people with you because you feel the need to take a picture.
I’m with Gat on this one. No BSing Halo anymore lets just get back to what we had before. Lets makes sure first that our feet are firmly in the ground and our wounds are healed. Maybe consider the thought of instant pictures on a game like Halo.
The only expection to this would be of course if they put in spectator mode and IDK if you takes pictures would slow the game down if so then yet another reason not to have instant pictures taking.
But hey…thats what Gat would say…don’t shoot the messenger.
If we’re going to add selfies to H5, then there’s another important feature that we’ll need to incorporate as well. Gestures. That’s right. A la Portal 2 or New Leaf.

No no, you don’t understand. Taking pictures in theater is a thing of the past. We should be able to take pictures during the game, as it happens, whenever we feel like it. We shouldn’t have to wait until the end and replay the game film. Besides, you wouldn’t be able to get the traditional selfie look from an image captured in forge.

That opens up a whole new world of posing for selfies too! That’d be amazing.
Taking selfies of you and your buddies used to be a fun thing to do in Halo 3’s theater. There were also some funny screenshots floating around peoples fileshares making fun of myspace/facebook photos.
Sadly, because the fileshare has been utterly useless since Reach, nobody does this kind of stuff anymore.
spend years in Zinyack captivity, reliving the death of his girlfriend, over, and over, and over, only to be ripped from his Simulation to find the Earth ker-sploded. He did lighten up A LOT after his loyalty mission, and gained ‘super powers’ himself, becoming that thing he despised so much.Also, humour, it’s a thing!

But really thought why would you tr y to get rid of theater pictures. Which ar even more badass. Basically if you want to add in this feature you want to take away creative freedom such as this. This like this are not done in the moment they are done when a player feels OH SO BADASS that they take the picture in Theater and can just tweak it up. Show off some flare. How would players get something like this with your "selfie thing. The only thing we might get out of your idea is this at best but not before getting gunned down while someone strikes a pose. Funny yes…until it gets you killed.

When T-Bagging doesn’t go far enough - Take a selfie of you and your teammate High-Fiving over an enemies corpse.
Also while we’re at it, why not some tag-team assassinations? You know, for those moments when a regular assassination on that pesky camo-camper just isn’t humiliating enough.

Please show me where I said I wanted to get rid of theater pictures? Theater may be an antiquated form of gathering pictures however I don’t want to see it abolished. I simply want to see the ability to take pictures in-game and on the fly added to the game.
