I’m seeing a lot of forum posts talking about how armor abilities can be improved, but why not just get rid of them all?
I would be sorry to see Bungie’s hard work on armor abilities be thrown away, but I think it would be for the best.
If halo anniversary wants to re-create the original experience, they should completely get rid of armor lock.
I realize there is a multiplayer playlist where you can play classic halo without armor abilities, but it isn’t fun because you have to play on only forged maps, because all the normal maps are designed with armor abilities in account
I think that all the abilities including sprint ruin the great halo experience.
In halo 3, the spartans were like well rounded circles
in halo reach, the spartans are like jagged ninja stars that fly all over the place, creating a hectic non-tactical multiplayer experience.
Does anyone agree with me?
The Halo Anniversary playlists will, in an attempt to best replicate the original Halo, have disabled Armor Abilities, among other things. If you purchase Halo Anniversary, you will be able to play this playlist, and it will be on the six recreated Halo maps.
I agree 100%, armour abilities are the worst thing that happened to Halo.

Lol no.
OT: Its called the “Classic Playlist”.

This. The Anniversary playlists won’t have armor abilities and will have settings as close to a Halo CE feel as possible. The changes in the armor abilities are addressing the core Reach experience.
Here’s how it SHOULD work:
Classic playlist: Maps from Halo CE - 3. Maps from CE have settings and weapon on the map should as close as it can be to how it was in CE.
Likewise, for maps from 2, have settings and weapon on the map should as close as it can be to how it was in 2, etc
Since they can add damage to the magnum, they should be able to adjust other weapons as needed as well.

well thanks for filling me in with that info. For some reason I was convinced that there was armor abilities in the anniversary multiplayer. Silly me.
