Does anyone have any ideas as to why 343 chose to use urban instead of noctus as a wzff map?
Wait where did you get this info?
Too cluttered with objects for vehicle action. That’s my thought of it at least.
Not sure why. I would love to fight in the monument
maybe possible exploits

Latest weekly update. You can find it in the “news” section.
Battle of noctus was more of a “vehicular” map than the other maps, hell why not port all of the assault maps into firefight too.
I imagine the game can’t run massive A.I. counts on Noctus for a number of reasons. For one, the map has incredible draw distance, (probably the highest in the game) then there’s the possibility that the map is too open, and since A.I. works differently in Halo than in open-world games, (only taking specific paths) the A.I. probably can’t guide themselves aimlessly through such open areas.
They should use noctus

There have been a few requests for a ‘night map.’ The monument would also be extremely powerful position to hold against AI.
- What if you could play in both maps? - Maybe because you can get to the tipi-top of monument.
Bit of a shame but I get it. Sadly, Noctus is my favorite map.
its smaller
The map seems pretty open. You could probably be able to pick off enemies with the DMR or Battle Rifle (excluding the big bosses). Also there are a lot of cars and barriers that could get in the way

Exploits? Nah…
Quietly climbs on top of monument with two sentinel DMRs.
Too difficult to defend the monument.
Battle of Noctus is very cluttered with debris such a downed Pelicans and beaten up cars. While Urban is much less cluttered and it has some hilly sections that would make good boss areas.

mine too
I like Noctus too, but I’m guessing they are using Urban since it’s the only map that uses a night skyline.
- March on Stormbreak: Morning (Snowy Mountains canvas) - Attack on Sanctum: Mid-morning (Sanghelios Canyon/Desert canvas) - Escape from ARC: Noon (Ocean/Desert canvas) - Raid on Apex 7: Afternoon (Tropical Island canvas) - Skirmish at Darkstar: Sunset (UNSC rural canvas) - Urban: Night (UNSC city canvas)Attack on Sanctum does remind me of Halo 4’s campaign, Mission 2 on Requiem, where you see the Covenant defending the valley with turrets, ghosts, snipers, and infantry (but you get a warthog)
Too much Crap on the roads of Noctus, happy they did that, because the tank and wraith feel cramped.
