Why not a massive multiplayer BTB option

If Battlefield 2042 has 64v 64 with much better graphics and physics, why can’t there be a 20 V 20 BTB playlist with battles on a massive scale? Possibly double the match time & have king of the hill (with like 9 different hills), CTF, and assault). The console & Xbox network can take the data flow. Innovate, don’t just make the same game as Bungie did 20 years ago. Take a shot snd see if it works and has longevity. Upping the player count from 8 to 12 isn’t that groundbreaking. Let vehicles take more damage to accommodate the higher player count.

They can’t even get 12v12 working, how do you expect them to do 20v20? We need a 40v40 gamemode once Elites drop though (if they can get it working, lol)

would probably perform extremely badly (already big hit for BTB) and be an absolute disaster to play honestly hah. It’s not always a “more the merrier” thing with multiplayer sadly, there’s a fine balance :slight_smile:

Yeah cause 4v4 constantly is the winning formulae.

Variety doesn’t hurt multiplayer games imo.

Absolutely massive scale Halo combat would be great. Great step to take as well seeing as the community seemed split about having a battle royale
A truly large scale battle mode battlefield scope would be great.
BTB already had the zones that open up after a team over takes a zones objectives.
Then again, I would like an updated invasion/warzone so…

I’d love large scale battles where troop transport vehicles are encouraged to be used. Imagine flying a fully loaded pelican where you’re dropping off real players at the objective. Matches where a warthog charge is actually possible instead of just one warthog aimlessly going circles around a tiny map.

If Pelicans were ever implemented like above I think that when they’re killed in the sky they should have a 50/50 chance of either detonating, or just killing the pilot and totaling the vehicle making crash land. The point being is that the troops it was carrying might survive the landing. It’d be so cool. I’d only pilot pelicans of of we had something like this.

Objective based game types could be CTF, or first to plant 3 bombs on 3 unique critical sites, or maybe some form of invasion.

I want a 40v40 mode like star wars you can pick unsc or oni or whatever fireteam even choose a marine same exact style as star warz bf2 but halo characters, and certain amount of points you earn you can be master chief or sergeant johnson/etc and on covenant side you can choose elite minor or to ultra/reach elites and choose arbiter with certain amount of points and abilities would be like cloak and duel wield swords and do crazy assassinations and also go first and third person like Star wars does, would be so damn awsome to choose a prophet or brute chieftan and even choose Tartarus or Atriox :star_struck::star_struck::exploding_head::eyes: and for halo vehicles too same concept however points you get
