hey 343! why not a BETA for warzone to test? for 2 weeks?
I doubt they will, but here’s hoping it happens.
It would make sense for 343 to test something that massive in the wild.
It would be fun, but I can almost guarantee it won’t happen. If it did, it would only be for the Xbox Preview members, not everyone.
They said it wouldn’t happen. End of the discussion. I agree on the fact that they should make a 1 or 2 weeks beta though.
they should release the beta in MCC like around august or September to test servers!!! we dont want another Master chief collection bad lunch for halo 5!!=/
They didn’t need a beta, they had demos at E3 as a way to show the gametype off to the public.
They’re running internal betas through external testing companies.

Yes, it was a pretty bad lunch… should have just got something from home.
It’s called E3. All those thousands of people you see in lines? Yeah. Those guys play Warzone and report any problems they’ve encountered after and before they leave. Plus if you’ve seen the Sprint, in particularly to Warzone Wednesday, 343 has everyone test it. And I’m sure they have game testers play it, the guys who sign up and get paid to test games, as well as popular people like Greenskull, Ready Up Live and Halo Follower. As much as I’d like to play, we don’t need nor we will get a beta for Warzone. And plus you can’t compare H5’s launch with MCC. Why? Because H5 doesn’t have four titles on one disc with each individual engine running it. H5 launch will be like each and every one of Halo’s standalone games. H2, H3, H4, H:Reach and so on
My first thought reading this topic was: “Ryan McCaffrey, is that you?”
It’s because preparing an open beta takes time away from their schedule. Why make a beta for one game mode when they can use that time towards other things like polish and bugs. Watch The Sprint and you’ll see that they’ve play tested numerous times to squash any bugs found.
I’d love a beta for Warzone just to try it early lol but I don’t think that’ll happen with E3 just happening and all that.
I don’t think there would be any point to one. Too close to launch.
we already had a beta…
If you ever watch the 1st season of the sprint, it’ll tell you why there will be no more beta. Because the time and resources needed to do a public beta are so vast that if they did another one now. Halo 5 would come out delayed or in a unfinished state.
Would be so good _
i will watch the sprint!!! thank u guys
The Arena Beta was for a specific group of Halo taste testers that pulled across many continents to give 343i an idea of how their code will stress. We also gave our opinions on how the sandbox was shaping up in within the small maps that are Arena.
Warzone is having a beta. Warzone is using the closest data centre to whichever convention 343i is showcasing their game at. This allows the sandbox and metagame to be tested under the most reliable conditions where any variables that are are induced, are hopefully by 343i and not intercontinental connections.
As Wazone is not intended to be Arena but instead the shaken and stirred mixture of both the entire sandbox and Halo player-base, and because beta code is almost always built off of weeks old code by release as is, the energy blade that is both a public demo AND beta is already ignited.
The mixture of not just Halo fans but gaming fans in general, getting them altogether through a local data centre gives a lot of data needed for things other than the already netcode stress test.
I missed the first beta ;-;
