Why No Split screen in Halo 5?

Up till date, all halo games have splitscreen. Then why does Halo 5 have no splitscreen! Does this mean the elimination of splitscreen???!!!

343’s persistence to maintaining 60FPS led to this result.

Because we have a splitscreen thread for it.

I believe it’s to maintain the quality of the game.

And please don’t use hashtags in forums, I cringe.

I was disappointed to hear it too, but yeah, I understand the need for quality. I wish Halo 5 has split-screen too, but at least we have other Halo games we can play with a friend next to you on the couch.
